Beautiful Day at Oceanview
Ocean View is a fun course to play. The weather was great and the greens were in good condition. Pace of play is usually slow at Ocean View...today was no different.
Made reservations online...good price...no hassle check-in, getting cart, or starting front nine.
Great course
Great course that is shorter. Maintinence is great and so are the people
Worth the green fees
It's obvious that management takes pride in this course. Right now they are refilling bunkers and adding new sod in warn areas. Drainage is very good at this course and honestly, the staff couldn't be friendlier.
signage needs work
Staff was very friendly,. We got lost several times and after aiming at the wrong fairway once too many times we just quit. There is signage, but a lot of times it points the wrong way, or toward the wrong tees.
Well maintained course
Not the most trying GC in the area, but nicely maintained. The staff is very friendly and they offer a well stocked pro shop. Like most courses in the area, the traps/bunkers are in need of a major sand injection. I saw one that it looks like they are in the process of filling in. We played a day after a major rain storm (about 4.5") and while there was some standing water on a few holes, the drainage seemed adequate.

Course is the best bang for the buck in Hampton roads.

Terrible greens and pace of play
Always nice to get a last minute tee time but greens are not made for putting and my round lasted nearly 5 hours. Everyday is a great day on the golf course just manage your expectations on this one.
