Faldo at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge Resort

Excellent condition - fairways and greens. Fairways to are wide enough to accommodate a moderate miss. Fun holes to play - don't have to be precise with shots, but positioning off the tees are rewarded.

Best course I played all week. Nice practice facilities, check in was easy and the course was a great track and very well maintained, pace of play was great and I would definitely play this course again.

Really nice course with good value for money(if you find a good deal of course). Some very nice holes with ditto views. Greens are very good, pretty fast and well maintained. The day we played the only comment we could give is that we missed a marshal that would tell the group in front of us to hurry up. There was a four ball that was really all over the place. The didn’t rake any bunker and they didn’t let us pass. When talking to them we found out they were from India and didn’t really understand what we were asking them. They did understand they had to hurry up. This should have been done by a marshal though. But that is the only comment there was. The course is one you should play, you’ll like it for sure, also if you are a low handicap (although the distances on the scorecard didn’t match with the gps).

Challenging golf course that is very playable. Friendly staff. Second nine got backed up. Wish the Marshall would have stepped in. Will definitely play again

Played the Faldo course for the first time. Fairly wide open course but very challenging because of the number of bunkers (both fairway and green side) and the pace of the greens (fast). Beautiful design. Best part was playing with 3 delightful people (Bev, Keenan, and Bob) which made the round so special. Was not impressed with either the clubhouse or starter desk staff. They seemed to be harried and experience was not memorable. But the golf was.

Golf course is awesome great condition and very scenery

I enjoyed the course very much. We started on #10 which was over 420 yd Par 4, a tough hole to start. The back 9 had a couple of par 4's over 400 yds. The course has about 108 bunkers on it. It was well designed and played challengely.

Though the course is challenging as is expected of a Faldo course it was fun. Played with some great folks and improved my bunker playing abilities. There are a lot of bunkers throughout the course. Though I avoided the bunkers the previous day, my 2nd day brought out the best of me playing from the bunkers.

The fairway grass was cut too low for my liking and the greens were fast. The hole locations meant you had to bring your putting game and put your putting skills to the test. Did good though I was using rental clubs.

Wildfire at Desert Ridge is an outstanding faculty W/2 truly top shelf courses available there ! On a Sunday as a single I was fortunate enough to be grouped W/some real fun players & ENJOYED not only the Faldo course(My fav) but their company as well !

OverSeedin' has been completed enough to not be restricted to cart paths, it really added to excellent pace of play. Conditions on course were very good, greens are smooth and will benefit w/another level of "cut" to increase speed, already at a nice pace. Fairways AND rough are LUSH so watch where tee shots end-up in the thick stuff as U could roll right over them.

We were only a few days early. Even though most area courses had resumed cutting greens and allowing carts on course, Wildfire was holding out to assure full grow-in. Probably a good decision that will pay dividends later in the season but greens were running about 6 stimp and carts on paths only detracted from an otherwise great golf experience. Don’t miss this course unless it’s early to mid-November.

Course still in very good shape heading into overseeding. Greens are excellent even after a dry hot summer.

I enjoyed my round of golf at this well maintained and great layout course. Greens and fairways were perfect. Numerous bunkers were fair and beautiful. The fairways were generous! I would love to play again!

I catch this course mainly in the summer because the rates jump up after over-seed and remain high through the winter season here in the Valley. Its a great course with plenty of challenges. The bunkers remain some of the deepest you will encounter anywhere in the Valley. Fairways are always reliably lush and the greens run consistently throughout the round. Just a very good golf course, in an upscale neck of the desert.
