Faldo at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge Resort

Played late in the afternoon, so I had the luxury of having the course pretty much to myself. The course was in very nice condition, especially for the end of summer. Super wide fairways and greens with only a little undulation make the course very forgiving. It was fun to play and does not require a high level of skill to enjoy it.

I played the Faldo Course, and it was in excellent condition from tee to green on every hole. The fairways are wide with a number of bunkers along the sides. The course has the length for all skill levels. The summer price was great. It would be hard to find a better course for your money. The entire course was well-manicured. Try it!

Don't let that discourage you, though. I played the Faldo course for a charity tournament. The course and facility are is amazing shape. I was in the area 2 weeks ago (beginning of September) and the course was still in tip top condition. The greens were the best I've seen in Arizona during the summer and the fairways are well manicured. Besides all of the sand, I couldn't think of one bad thing to say about this course. I'll definitely get back there and play it again.

Middle of summer AND the greens and fairways looked like winter. Unbelievable, great time.

Nice layout with lots of traps. Very playable, but also championship level.

You can't beat the deals on summer golf in Phoenix. When you get a day in the low 100's you better run to the course. The resort courses are typically some of the best maintained and The Faldo Course at the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge fit the bill perfectly.

The course, facility and property speak for themselves.

My only wish would be to be able to check in outside with the staff there and be able to drive the carts in the parking lot.

If you can't play from the sand I wouldn't recommend this course. Very challenging but loved it.

One negative comment: signage between holes is very poor. Took wrong turns three time - even wound up on the other course once. Need signs at the forks like most other courses do

Never played this track but really enjoyed my round. The pace of play was great. The fairways were surprisingly soft considering the 104 degree temp. The greens were firm and true. Looking forward to getting back out here again.

It seemed like their placement of the sand traps was just to mess with my head. I ended up in more fairway bunkers than usual. Not many water hazards though.

Finished in just under 4 hours, but we waited a bit on almost every hole.

Went out and played with the boys and found the course to be in great shape after having been punched. Little hot on the start and then the afternoon monsoon blew in, cooled off and we finished just in time. Staff was awesome and very helpful. Having worked at Ocean Reef Club an exclusive private community in Key Largo, FL in the golf pro shop, I know what it feels like to be on their end and so I appreciated the staff.

Need to work on my sand game...way to many strokes lost trying to get out of the sand.

Played at faldo Course late afternoon in 3 hrs and weather was mid 90s with cool breeze. Course is in very good condition. Back nine is challenging and requires good course Mgmt strategy. Overall, great course and friendly staff.

The golf course was is in prime shape for the summers in Phoenix. From tee to green it's in really good shape for summer play. Greens hold great and putts roll very well. Well worth the money compared to other tracks in the valley so you won't be disappointed. Gal in the shop had a hard time checking us in she might of been new but seemed confused about the Marriott gift card being used.

Off season extremely hot but incredible golf experience. Starts at the parking lot with clubs unloaded and on your cart with your name on it ready to go. Driving range right there with balls. Ice water on many holes and a refreshing cold towel at the turn to keep comfortable. The course was in amazing condition and played tough but fair. Play the right tees to enjoy your round.
