Crown Park
Great course. Will add to my favorites.
I don't like split tee starts. 90 minutes for first nine, almost 3 hours for second nine.
Everything was Great
We played on July 15 and 18 and enjoyed it thoroughly. Staff was friendly and helpful. On the first day, we began "cart path only" due to heavy rains two days earlier. Before we completed 9 holes, the starter drove out on the course and told us we could drive on the fairways now. I've never had that courtesy before. The golf course was in great condition, tee to green. It is a challenging layout for us mid-handicappers, but I would not call it difficult. It was just right. This was our favorite MB golf course both this year (July, 2019) and last year (July, 2018),
Hot n Dry
Greens recently vertecut , very dry and burning in the sun. Tees a little chewed up from play but overall a great layout that's challenging and fair. Be prepared to be turned away when asking to join up and play along. As a single I was turned down twice which sours the day because Golf reveals character, it doesn't create it and these kind of losers aren't golfers, so I'm glad we didn't play together. I recommend this course because it's fun and not the usual back and forth layout that's boring to play.
Great value
I played here with my son when we first got to the beach. I booked the tee time through Tee Off, and was pleased with the rate. We practically had the place to ourselves. This course seems to be similar to the typical Myrtle Beach layout: wide open fairways, not loo long, and lots of big pine trees separating the fairways. The bunkers were in good shape, greens were very good. My only regret was I wish I had just paid for nine holes because my little guy can’t hang for 18 yet, and so it was money wasted. I would definitely play here again.
Wide Open
Course was wide open due to cartpath only and Sunday afternoon. Outside of the wet feet conditions it was excellent.
Great for Seniors
A must for Seniors. Course is fair and challenging. Everything in good condition.
Evcellent Staff!
Weird layout
Greens and fairways were great shape. Bunkers were mostly packed dirt. Course is heavily tree lined with narrow fairways. .a lot of holes had water hazards crossing the fairways at around 230 to 250, which took driver out of play and made you lay up which also caused a lengthy second shot. Greens had a fair amount of slope and were tricky to read. If you play the course a lot you can probably learn to play the holes smarter but first time golfers will find knowing what to hit a challenge.
Nice course
Good speed of play.
Some golf paths need work.
The staff is not friendly. They act like they are doing you a favor for you to play there.
The fairways and greens are in excellent condition.
Course is well maintained
Course is excellently maintained. Somewhat off the beaten path for North Myrtle / Little River SC area. Pleasure to play. I have never seen and large crowds. It’s mostly early play. Very wooded with some kind of water on most holes but not that problematic. I love this course for it value and condition.
This course has a nice layout.
The course has a nice layout but it is not in the greatest condition. Their practice green with us much slower than the actual greens which threw me off as it was the first time for me playing here. Greens were scalped. Tee boxes, fairways and rough was in decent shape.
Course was not golfer friendly
I walked up to the club house with my clubs bc the starter was in a nearby shed not greeting anyone. Then I go into the clubhouse to pay and no one was in the pro shop and when an employee did show up, not the friendliness person. I work at a golf club in Richmond, Va., and this type of unprofessionalism would never be tolerated. I will tell you that if you came from out of town and experienced this, you would not come back. Obviously, the owner is not around.
All good
VERY good experience. The course is well cared for. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The price was surprisingly less than expected. It's not the hardest course, but several holes make you consider your landing areas off the tee. I've never given 5 stars but this one is 4 plus
Great for all skill levels
Played the course as a single on the early morning. Staff got me out early, and other than a couple of hard showers played without any interruptions. Course is in excellent shape and drained well after the rain. Location of the various tee boxes made the course fair but challenging for all skill levels. Fair amount of water. Highly recommend the ride to Longs SC and playing this course.
Beautiful course
Crowne Park is a beautiful hidden gem just outside of Myrtle Beach. The course was in great shape. There were very few people on the course which is odd consdering how pretty it is The only drawback to this course is that it is long and plays very slow. I will definitely be back!
