Much better since they are now only 18 holes.
My Day 2 course for the Myrtle Beach World Amateur. When I first played this course, it was a 27 hole complex and what I considered to be a Mickey Mouse layout. They have since become only an 18 hole layout and I guess they took the best of the 18 of the 27 holes and kept them. Much better now. Conditions were very good. Greens were near perfect and rolled true. No complaints about conditions of course.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Enjoyable round of golf.
A little dry. Course is not the hardest. That's what we were looking for. For a couple looking for a afternoon together it was enjoyable.
First time at Crown Park
Average course, waterlogged. Tees and fairways a little “sparse”. Greens thick, slower side.
Kinda awkward , no carts allowed at range. Mostly friendly staff. Lots of locals apparently play regularly
Nice track
Played with my wife and son today. Course layout was nice, greens a little furry. Would definitely recommend
Fun Good Course But Very Wet
Staff was friendly on our arrival. I enjoyed the course but the fairways were soaked (no fault of course management, just extreme rains over the last week or so). Greens were good but slow. Overall, a very enjoyable course considering the weather and wetness. Would love to play when course is dry and not cart path. Would recommend.
Rained Heavy
Nice course. Relatively short. Held water great. Greens were in good shape given all I’ve read about the bad winter.
greens r getting better everyday , the fairways r good n getting better , the work they r putting in is showing, love it there , keep up the great work. thanks jim
Love it.
First time playing this course and loved it, even my wife loved it, we all know if the wife ain’t happy , no one is ! The staff was very friendly, the course was in great shape, loved the layout of the course, pace of play was perfect. Highly recommend this course, we will return.
Great value
Played there twice this week. Course is in as good of shape as I have ever seen it . A couple rough greens , but all the courses on Rt 9 are having issues .It's $15 on Golfnow ,great value .
Great course, great people
Usually I have found most times playing a course for the first time I don't always feel welcomed, not here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Course layout is really good. The first 9 it was sunny and very hot, back nine the weather took a turn with downpours and lightening. You would think the course would be soaked but it wasn't. It favored me cause I play better after it rains. Overall I had a great time. Would and will recommend this course especially at my work. Thanks to the staff and golf now for the great round of golf.
Awesome!
Really enjoyed this course. It was plush from tee to green. Great layout. Played it with my dad and brother, and they both agreed that it will become a go-to track from now on during our beach trips. Zero houses on the course.
Pleasantly surprised
I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the greens. Most courses in which area have had major issues with their greens. Several courses are closed because of the havoc wreaked by old man winter.
I played some premier courses earlier in the week who had re-sodded their greens. From what I saw elsewhere, I figured I would be putting on terrible greens - especially considering the price. Hats off to the maintenance!
Well worth the price and the drive
Greens-n-Fairways
Great layout with length. Course is rebounding from Winter Kill and upgrades are everywhere. Some greens need more time to heal and are playable. Starter is Extremely Friendly and caring along with Pro Shop. Very few players any where so I played as a single. Not playing this Course is a Mistake. Try it, you'll like it... Highly Recommend
Lovely place
This course is well laid out with beautiful fairways. The greens were in average shape with a few bad spots on some greens. I loved how private it was with no houses visible. Go play it!
GReat layout
Great course, greens recovering from aeration so not at their best. Routing excellent. Shot 68 so happy with round!
Great day of golf
We played this course following several days of heavy rain and found it well drained and quite playable with only three holes designated cart path only. The pace was excellent. The fairways in very good condition and the recently repaired greens (bad winter) good.We also enjoyed the natural beauty of the course and the absence of homes.
Surprisingly good time
All the courses in the area had a horrible winter, apparently. You can’t really tell here. #1 and #18 have really furry greens but the rest look and roll great. The course had around 2.5 inches of rain and the fairways were still in great shape. Maybe two fairways had dead spots, and you might not find the perfect consistent green grass throughout, but they felt great and responded like they are supposed to.
That aside, great layout and no distractions. Felt like I was in the middle of a forest. Surprisingly challenging too. Listen to the recommendations for each hole from the course website! The best suggestion is to keep the driver in the bag on all par fours. Distance doesn’t help here and mostly gets you into trouble. Accuracy is huge.
Website is great and helpful. Staff was nice and gave me some first-time tips for the course. And, the round comes with a free beer at the turn. Great time. I’ll come back and play when the weather is nicer.
Greens-n-Fairways
Greens & Fairways were playable but still need time to heal. Checking in, were told #18 was closed and Temporary hole would be played. Very few Golfers on the course, 10 or a few more so play was enjoyed. Would recommend to all, New and Locals.
no audience
loved the scenery. no houses. liked black squirrels!!
ice cold water on the course.. A big thankyou
