About
Unlike some Jack Nicklaus golf courses that have earned a reputation for being among the world's most difficult, mid- and high-handicappers stand a fighting chance at the Grand Bear Golf Course. Nicklaus offers wide fairways before the sprawling woods take over on either side, most bunkers aren't horribly steep, and greens generally have room in front to run a shot up. The winding Biloxi River helps build Grand Bear to a dramatic finish. The par-3 14th hole plays through a chute of woods to a green guarded by the river below that runs along diagonally, punishing hooked shots left short. After another par 3 on the 16th that plays with the river to the left, the 17th once again plays over the river on the drive, then parallel to the hole. The 18th hole plays long and uphill back toward the clubhouse.

Golfer Reviews
Six Mile Drive to beauty.
First, the entrance to the course is pretty excessive. A six mile track in might be a little over the top. All this extra space makes me wonder why there are not 36 available.
The clubhouse and course are beautiful. As a patron from Michigan, I have played courses very similar to this and I was Happy. I got a great deal on Golfnow, which makes this course an A++++. I have played Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor (another Jack Nicklaus course) and this one has similar topography. Really if you are from out of town play here, but get a deal, the up front cost might be too much. Mid $50-80 is completed reasonable, not over.
Great experience.
Thank you for the 5 star rating, and for the effusive praise of the Grand Bear experience. We hope to see you back when you're down our way again.
I like it
fun layout, cool clubhouse and friendly staff. much needed new carts a plus. with a little better conditioning it would be 5 stars
catch the hotdeal
good price if you can catch the hot deal. great condition this time of year. greens was a little slower than i remember but still rolled true. but overall in good condition
Beautiful, Absolutely Stunning
Me and my Son were on a road trip across country. A bucket list trip, we golfed our way across the country. I booked this course last minute and it was the highlight of our trip.
We loved the course and the staff
Cool place
After a winding long entrance, we were very pleased when we arrived at the clubhouse. We had a great time and experience here and highly recommend it. Nicely kept and bunkers that I found too many of were great. Good people!
Highly recommend
This is a great track. Had a lot of fun. Played from the golden bear tees. Tough but fun. Greens were receptive and fast. Would love to play again.
Sorry we didn't deliver the 5 star experience that golfers have come to expect at Grand Bear. We hope you will give us another chance.
