Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

golfnut
Although there has been a substantial rain fall recently the course is slow to respond to improve the condition of the course and make it more playable.
great condition
the course was in great condition even after 10 days of rain. there were a few wet areas, but overall the fairways were in great condition. the greens were in very good condition and did not see any problem areas. this is a great course to play.
Real test for a shotmaker
Nice doglegs to work the ball both ways and force carry to greens
Show me the way
Challenging but fair. Some aprons, fairways and tees still very wet. Traps need sand. Greens are true and consistently different. Great design, not boring or too long. Putting green and Range are Class A and never crowded???? Don't know why because this is a must play for all golfers.
Had higher expectations
An overall nice course. No real complaints, but not overly memorable. Several blind shots and a few soggy wet spots but fun and challenging. Seemed crowded when I was there.
Diamond Experience
A great golfing experience. Pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. Some narrow fairways and hidden water presented fair challenge.
Diamondback
My wife and I played Diamondback after a full day of rain and the course was in fantastic shape. Fairways were in great shape and the greens couldn't have looked any better too, but rolled slow (damp?). Friendly staff, great rates with a very challenging layout, why is there not more golfers out there? It was a 30 minute drive from central MB but well worth it. This might be the most underrated course in the area.
An unexpected pleasant suprise.
Course was in awesome shape, not very crowded, and a fair challenge. I found it to be different than courses closer to the beach, but a welcome change. I've been coming down here since 95', lived here since Jan. 2007 but never played here till now. Fun par 3's. I will be back.
Diamondback
Good value fir the money. Would recommend it to anyone.
Going back 100%
Exceeded expectations...not a long course, but narrow-ish fairways in perfect shape, medium to small greens that rolled very nice...need good position off tees and accurate approach shots...great test
Great Value
Course was in excellent shape, especially considering the torrential rain the night before. Challenging layout. Overall very happy with the course and would definitely play there again. Got a great value with Golf Now only $20 to play!
Good time
Friendly staff. Great value. Course was very well maintained. Greens and fairways in excellent condition. While there, we saw 2 deer crossing the fairway and two turkeys on the cart path. I'll be retuning.
Nice, challenging course
Enjoy playing this style course. Layout is such that you only see the hole you are playing rather than having adjoining fairways. Excellent condition fairways and greens. Must keep ball in play as outside the fairway is very penal. Great value this time of year!
Great condition
Course was in great condition. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all excellent. Paid $20 off golf now and was certainly worth the money. Course was challenging but fun. Bunker placements and water hazards made you think. A couple of narrow fairways requiring a good tee shot. Did not eat anything but would assume its good since everything else was. Have a driving range and putting green, both in good shape. Would certainly recommend playing this course, especially for the money
Good value
Must play if you are on a vacation budget. Great value
Good golf value
Good value for the money. Will definitely play again.
Great Value
Great greens and layout. Only complaint is that we booked 7:00am tee time to play quickly, however when we made the turn, groups had teed off on #10 before us. 1:25 front 9, 2:10 back 9.
Fun course.
Good layout. Nice mix of shot making and grip it n rip it holes. Fairways in nice shape. I'd definitely go back.
