Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

needs work
needs work on drainage ,too wet to play course should be closed till it dries out golfers just tearing up the fairways to wet to hit off or walk on ,cart paths only or the tires would sink to the rims greens were ok
fairways dead
Compared to the other courses I played in Myrtle Beach, the fairways here are in terrible shape. There is no green grass on the fairways.
Great Value!
The course was in good shape considering the recent rains, cold weather and winter conditions. Its worth the drive to play.
Winter condition but good value for money
Paid less than $20 for the 18 hole round including cart. Fairways were brown, but the greens lokked and played well. Cart path only as the course was still wet.
Nice course
My wife and I played this course on three different days. One day was rather soggy due to rain the day before, but the other two were great golf days. Greens were true and the course was well maintained. Hope to be back next winter!
Good test of golf!
This is a very nice track through the wetlands and out in nature! It is a shoemakers golf course, not particularly long, but you must be accurate. It was a little wet, but had rained the day before, so it wasn't as wet as I expected. Greens rolled nicely, and was pretty firm for as much rain as they had. I will definitely return again!
Love it!!
This is a nice challenging course nestled in the woods. The staff is very friendly and the food is always good. More than reasonably priced.
G.N.D.B.
1st off the guy inside the club house acted like he didn't want to be there. 2nd when going to the 1st tee they have a sign warning about watching for rattle snakes, makes you think. 3rd I don't know why all courses don't have the fairways over seeded so they would be green like most courses around MB. The tee boxes were green and in good shape. The greens were in good shape and fast. I would like to play this course in the summer time when everything is green and the plants are in bloom I'm sure it would be a great looking course.
imaginative layout,great creativity
Nice layout, and a good value. Would like to play it again./
Good layout
Will play again...some holes were difficult and played a little longer than the actual yardage.
Great Value
My wife and I played November 10th and plan to play this course again tomorrow Nov 12th. Play was slow but we had a great time.
Play when it's only $18
We paid GolfNow too much. When we got there, we found the course had specials 18 holes for $18. Plus, it was 30 miles away. It was not in terrible shape, but not as good as many others in Myrtle Beach.
Great Value
Nice course, tough greens, great scenery. Enjoy playing there. No ranger to prevent 5 people playing together, really slows pace of play,
Exceptional course
First time I have played this course and it was incredible. Can't wait to be able to play it again next time I am down in the area. It was a very challenging course that met all of my expectations.
Average Course for a Great Deal
Played this for only $25. Was a bit of a drive from Myrtle but it was the deal. Place was dead when I got there only about 10 cars in lot. The course was cart path only because this course is in the lowland area and I guess had some wet spots. The course was a bit dry, so not sure why cart path only but was okay. All the fairways are tree lined so you need to keep it in play. Tee boxes were a bit on the long side as it looks like they were trying to regrow the grass. Greens were inconsistent with some fast and dry and others wet and slow. Some greens were a bit patchy with some poor areas. Beer was $3 a can so that was great. No beverage cart.
The course is a very nice lay out.
My wife and I enjoyed playing the course. It was quite a ways to drive from where we stayed in Myrtle Beach but the price justified the drive. The greens were in good condition and over all the course was a pleasure to play. If we go back to Myrtle Beach next year we would probably play here again, if the price was right.
perfect
perfect in everyway....THANK YOU!!!! This was a Last minute booking and sure glad we did it...the pro shop had some fantastic deals...worth every minute of the 30 minute drive from MYRTLE
golfnut
Although there has been a substantial rain fall recently the course is slow to respond to improve the condition of the course and make it more playable.
great condition
the course was in great condition even after 10 days of rain. there were a few wet areas, but overall the fairways were in great condition. the greens were in very good condition and did not see any problem areas. this is a great course to play.
Real test for a shotmaker
Nice doglegs to work the ball both ways and force carry to greens
