Rainy, Worth the Drive
Loved the course, can't wait to come back on a sunny day. Cold and wet. Food in the restaurant was good and the fireplaced warmed us up.
Beautiful Day on the Course
Such a great experience. Course was in good shape, pace of play was 4:20, not bad for a busy winter day. Can't wait to get back out there.

Back nine better than Front
Front nine was ho hum but got better on the back. Greens are very rough.

1st Tee Confusion
We have played The Duke several times and always enjoy the course. This time, my wife and I booked as a twosome. As our tee time approached, the starter seemed very confused as they re-arranged some of the tee times. We ended up being delayed by about 10 minutes, and we got sent out alone as a twosome. Not a huge deal, just made for an awkward start to the day.

Lots of standing water after yesterdays rain. Quite muddy too.

Water didn't drain well
Played a day after a downpour. Holes 1,2 were flooded and muddy right off the fairway and puddles on the fairway. It didn't disturb play but driving the carts in the water wasn't ideal.
Play was slower as most typical muni courses.
Greens were nice and tricky at times.
Overall value was fine and I would play again if the weather prior was better.

Always a favorite! But...
The course was very wet in spots, but not due to rain.
Had there been a course ranger on duty perhaps the 4 pin-pulling clowns in front of us that apparently were putting for $$MILLIONS$ would have been forced to let our 4-some play thru so we could have played a round of golf in less than 4.5 hours.
On the positive side, the fish fry was the best I have ever eaten.

Poor pace of play
5.5 hour round. This course has no Marshall’s. I was told the owner doesn’t want to cover the cost for one. Three groups backed up on the par 3,s. Fairway grass was thin

Conditions are Good
I've played here allot. This year the course is in rather good shape. Fairways and greens are nice. Rough is dormant grass, not too penalizing. Staff is friendly as always. Prices went up this year like everywhere else, but it's close and fun to play.
