2023 Arizona Hacks Golf
The overall condition of the fairways & greens were in good shape. The dormant Bermuda wasn't difficult to play from. The fairway bunkers could use a few more rakes. Pace of play was great until we got the par 3's. Evidently there was some kind of game going on because the two groups in front of us were all on the tee box. 15-20 minute was in all 4 par 3's. Still managed to get done in 4hrs & 15 minutes... Could have been well under 4 hours.

A couple tough par 3's and then nice short one on bag nine.
Greens were protected by traps. They rolled nice.

Course is painted?
Played the front nine for a good price on twilight rate. . Greens and fairways painted green, why do that? Good challenge in the traps and water.

of golf courses in the Phoenix area. It is always in good shape and is fun to play. And, on Fridays it has the best fish fry in the world.

Fun course. Played with a couple from Canada & had a great time. Tee to green was great. Brown rough was still easy to get out. Desert is not a place to play from. Always enjoyed in the past also.

Nice course.........
Frost delay caused us to not complete round........cool and dark when we quit ! ! Friendly staff but course isn't quite up to the standards that it had ten years ago ! !

Good course to play
It was in okay conditions only because they just had a big downfall of rain the previous week. Overall course was in good condition. Had to wait an hour after tee time due to frost delay. Definitely coming back but in the morning time to have time to play a full 18.

A Great Arizona Golf Course.
It is playing golf on hallowed ground (John Wayne land).

Nice and affordable
It is a bit of a drive, but we love playing The Duke once or twice each time we are in the PHX area. Course is usually in nice condition and we can usually get an affordable rate.

The Duke
Course has the ability to have a very high potential. Disappointedly poorly staffed, with no course Marshalls, teenagers, (who do not golf) used as course starters, and that for the most part, use the honor system, which has some players jumping ahead in line.

FLOODED
Course was flooded on the front nine. Sign in the pro shop window that said “please tee off on hole 10 today. Thanks, management”
Happens occasionally, maybe they had a large outing or something earlier where they needed to shuffle around the layout, ok. When I went in to the pro shop, there was no one in the shop after walking around looking for someone. Teed off on 10 as the sign suggested. Finished the first 9 and went to make the turn onto the first hole. Teed off and hit my second shot over what I thought would be some standing water, go to drive towards my ball and the place to cross is completely flooded. No Marshall in sight, no one to stop us from making the turn so we cut our loses on the ball that was now unretreievable and jumped to the next hole. Went to head towards the second tee box and access to the second tee box is also flooded. 3rd hole was fine and as you approach the 4th tee box, you guessed it, flooded again. No way to reach the 5th hole and on as the course layout does not allow you to continue on. Frustrating to pay for 18 and really only get 9 in.

We ran out of daylight due to so many players ahead of us. Only got in 13 holes.
