Coming back nicely
I hadn’t played The Duke in quite awhile but understand the monsoons took a toll. They are recovering nicely and we thoroughly enjoyed our round.

Recovering
Fantastic track that is recovering after the floods
Of note if you are playing here please respect the modified tee box positions, they are there so the course can recover. Cart traffic and hitting from the previously flooded areas will do nothing but slow the course recovery.

Decent course
A few of the hole were changed to parv3s because of the storm water that has came through the wash. The staff was very friendly. The pace of play was ok. There are some pretty holes. Id play again!

Used to be a great place to play
Over the past few years, through staff changes, this place has really turned in to an unpleasant experience. Staff in the pro shop are very unfriendly. It would be a MUCH better experience with literally ANY other staff and team than the current one. Also, I understand it’s partially because they are “afraid” of “Brian” who I think is the head pro. Not a great leadership attribute

Good Shape Only 9 Open
Greens were in great shape, played the back 9 twice due to recent rains and flooding. Staff was helpful in letting us know the situation and we decided to play anyway. We will def be back when all 18 are open.

Front nine still closed
Due to monsoon rains the front nine was still closed. As a result of this, pace of play was a bit longer. Otherwise the course was in good condition!
Flooded
Front 9 was flooded after driving to Maricopa to play. Sorry, only 9 available and with the water expect 5million mosquitos eating you. Rough morning.

Good course to play
A good resort style course with wide fairways. Greens were in excellent condition. Due to the monsoons and the fact a wash flows through the front nine, it was back nine only.. With all the rain, the course drains very well with little to no muddy or even soggy areas.

Greens are improving
After being punched two weeks ago, the greens are definitely making improvements. Still a bit bumpy but getting much better! There were loads of downed trees from recent monsoon storms and the grounds crew were working on them. I’ll definitely come back!

Simply amazing
A Saturday in July at 740am and we got through the round in 3.5 hours. Pace of play was amazing. The staff was friendly. The course is in amazing shape for summer golf in AZ. I’ve played nicer courses than this in the winter that were in worse shape. The holes were fun and challenging but misses were still forgiving. I would highly recommend this course to anyone and will definitely be back
