Friday afternoon tee time.
Played The Duke for the 1st time 20 years ago. Joined up with the course maintenance staff as a single. Had a blast 🤗
Nice Golf Cours
Fairways & Grens were in excellent condition. Tee boxes were a little bit crewed up. Overall, a really nice course for the money. Good value for this time of year
First Time Playing
I play a lot of courses all over the Phoenix area, And had to use up a credit on GolfNow. I’ve been bypassing this one for years, and it may be a while before I get back again. The layout of the course Provides a lot of great shot making, the greens were in fantastic shape, with a lot of Undulations. The Fairways were green, But we’re very firm and so you had lots of run out, A lot of it into the rough or the desert. the rough was dormant And was not over seeded. It would have done a lot to improve the look of the course, as off the Bermuda, the rest of it was just dusty desert. Not very aesthetically pleasing. Having just played AK Chin southern dunes last week, Night and day difference between the two courses. This looked like an overrun Municipal course in comparison to southern dunes.
As mentioned, I believe a lot can be done to bring the aesthetics up, overseed the rough so your ball doesn’t Run into the desert all the time, it would be a much more enjoyable round of golf.
Great shape
Solid tee to green, best shape I’ve seen it in four years. Fast greens, solid sand traps!
Nice Course with Great Views
All in all, course was in pretty good shape. A couple muddy fairways but we really enjoyed it. Pretty far outside of scottsdale but the drive out is pretty scenic.
Great Round of Golf
My first time playing this course
Excellent experience from bag drop to completion of the round. Course was in great shape and the greens rolled true.
Excellent service all around
Will definitely play and recommend to others.
One of my favorite Courses!
Great conditions and pace of play was excellent! We played in less than 4 hours with very little waiting.
The Duke
Course was in excellent shape including nice soft sand in bunkers. Greens were manicured perfectly and fairly fast paced. Spacing of tee times was perfect with no bunching up or players on your heels. Staff was always courteous and helpful. I will be back for certain. Played with a foursome on Christmas Eve.
Terrible customer service
Went golfing 13 months after losing my wife to cancer. Last time we golfed was at the duke, so went alone for the first time. When i showed up the golf cart attendants made fun of me playing alone during christmas?? Who does that? I chose to play alone. The round was slow as expected and i was in no rush. I am a former professional long drive golfer sponsored by Krank years ago, but retired from competition 8 years ago. I won the senior regionals at 381 and average drive is 331 at 58 years of age. Scratch golfer for 20 years. When i was done with my round i left my score card on the cart and one attendant said to me, you left your score card, guess you dont want it for the fireplace??? What on earth?? I shot a 74 and marked it all. Pretty sure 99% of the people that day didnt break 80. Just a rude comment
* another Terrible but not my cup of tea *
Ropes up to the bag drop.
The bag guys and starter just looked at me and looked away.
Then when I get in a cart after I pay they ask “do you have a tee time”
The RANNNGEEE… ouch. The worst I have ever seen in AZ.
Chipping and putting area stunning. So weird.
The actual facility is stunning and well done.
Personally I think the person in charge of hiring needs to do better to elevate this golf course experience.
The course is fun! Slow play by people but that’s okay!
Carts…. Yikes… COVERED IN MUD and never clean.
Duke you get a 2 star! I know you can do better!
Such a great build and facility
Wow pretty surprised
Course was very nice well maintained got set up with 2 other players had fun and enjoyed the day
Worth the Drive
About a 50 minute drive from Scottsdale but would do it again. Player friendly but challenging long from gold tees. Good condition and an enjoyable layout. Friendly staff and good value at the $100 - $115 price point.
