Its a fun executive course
The staff was pretty friendly. You have to pay for ice unless you buy two drinks. Luckily beer was only five dollars each. The pace of play was kind of slow in the beginning, but it picked up after three or four holes. The fairways are nice and green, but there is some standing water. The rough looks to be all crab grass. The Grange Road inconsistently but still not horrible. Overall, I would say this is a pretty good value course.
Golf at its Grandest
Course is in beautiful condition. Staff very friendly. Greens are lightning fast and to read.Good food friendly atmosphere.
.
Totally Classless Pro Shop Staff
Reserved via GolfNow for Wed; we could not make it and spoke with course same day. Assured reservation would be canceled at no cost; we reserved for Thursday and played at 6:58AM. Now they are charging me for "no show" on Wed.
Totally classless, after our 3some also spent another $300+ in the pro shop.
Would not recommend this course under any circumstances.
So so
Course was OK. The green was very slow Pace was OK but little slow Or what is mine worth I gave 60% Of the money is worth
Duke it out
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, pace of play was good, course is in wonderful condition especially the greens
The Duke
Course condition was very good compared to many others I've played here in the past few weeks. Greens are not at all bumpy and fairways are green and lush in most spots.
Only draw back was that we were the second group out and it still took 4 hours and 20 minutes to finish, as we waited on every shot. And twice we waited while 2 of them fished balls out of the lake for about 5 minutes.
Very frustrating...
Good Condition, Fair Track
The course was nice and fun. It was not too difficult. The greens were fast as well as the fairways. It is not the closest to Phoenix or Scottsdale, but it is worth a drive. Especially considering the value compared to some of the other courses.
Pace of play on the back 9 was very slow. Need a ranger out there to keep things moving .
fun track, great pace of play
fun track with great facilities and pace of play. course has a variety of holes
Nice course
Really enjoyed playing this course. It’s in great shape and pace of play was great. Would recommend golfers to play
Favorite
The Duke has been a favorite for many years. Usually in good condition, and always fun. It can play slow at times. On this occasion we only hit a slowdown on the last 4 holes. This time we paid $84, which is about the top end of what I feel is fair for this course. I hope to be back as long as they don’t price me out.
Greens are in good shape and it was enjoyable. A little rough around the edges but if you stay in the fairway it’s fine.
Solid Course
Not very experienced with desert golf but compared to the few I’ve played, The Duke was quite good. Decent tee boxes, well kept fairways, and firm and playable greens. The rough was made up a reasonable amount of dormant grass before getting to the desert. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were green. The practice area was well kept. Large driving range, chipping green and a large putting green. Very good staff and good signage on the course. There was a hold up some place ahead of us which meant we waited a minute or two on every tee box but we still finished in 4H 10M so this is not a complaint but an observation. We really like the course and would recommend it to anyone.
