Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club
About
Silverado Golf Course welcomes all skill levels of golfer, but more advanced players will find the course pleasant but perhaps not as challenging as they would like. Located next to a bike trail that runs through much of Scottsdale, the course provides excellent views. While playing, golfers can enjoy vistas of the surrounding desert landscape as well as the Camelback and Mummy Mountains. A notable hole is the par-3 18th hole, not only for the gorgeous backdrop provided by the mountains but also its difficulty level. From its elevated tee, golfers get a good visual of the hole including the water and strategically placed bunkers that surround it.

punched greens
this is always a solid course. just wish they put up a notice about punched greens on the front 9 and punched fairways on the back 9.
Conditions have been better at this course
Before I get to my critique I want to point out the best positive of this course and that is their staff. They are extremely friendly and do a fantastic job with the guests and treat them as valued customers. However, prior to this year, we used to play Silverado Golf Course in Scottsdale frequently throughout the winter, but yesterday was the first time this year. The condition of the course was pretty rough. Many of the tee boxes were very worn down with very little grass. Too many areas throughout the course on the fairway as well as the rough were in dire need of water. In the years past this course was always in excellent shape. Not this year. And one of the reasons we didn't golf here as much this winter is that their prices increased dramatically and now that the AZ weather is getting pretty hot, the prices finally came down to a reasonable amount. But unfortunately we were saddened by the condition of a course that we used to really enjoy. But thank you to their wonderful staff!!
Ranger Needs To Get His Facts Straight
Well there’s always one on every course that wants to irritate you. This dude stops us on the fairway of the 9th hole as we’re getting ready to hit our second shots. Nobody behind us and nobody on the green. He starts striking up a conversation which we were t interested and stops me and says hey what was your tee time… I said 9:03 … he said you guys are a little slow you’re 5 min behind …. Are you serious that’s what he wants to tell me? Well he needs to know we got off the 1st tee 10 min late so do the math…I can’t stand these guys. I would love to play a round of golf and see their pace … our group shot at avg of 4 over on the front nine and he’s telling me we are playing slow ….then he questions me well are you guys stopping for food at the turn like it’s going to be a problem we enjoy the day and YES we did and the line to pick up pre order food was a 10 min wait so he needs to get his facts straight before he comes at us and then make sure the kitchen is on time too… what a complete disappointment this guy is to guests.
My wife had to be admitted to hospital the night before my tee time and Silverado still charged me full price of round for not showing.
Great value for your money
Nice course to play with not too many hazards but gives you a challenge. Great staff with good food in the clubhouse and very nice people on the course.
Kenny is the man!
The gentleman who sent me off as the Starter/Attendant was a super nice guy! He let me go off a few minutes early, and after my round directed me to a great place to get breakfast!
The course itself was a little wet, but overall in great shape. I would imagine it’d be fun for all levels of skill, but probably less challenging for lower handicap golfers.
Good place to score low
Short from the tips, room to miss off the tee. Good course conditions, but not great. I did really enjoy it.
Course in AWFUL condition!
Oh man, what a disappointing review to have to write, but hopefully this saves others from wasting their money.
A few friends and I wanted to sneak in a quick round on Friday afternoon this week and decided to book a fairly affordable $80/person tee time. For that price, I don’t expect the world, but I at least want a course that is well-kempt, with fairways and greens that have been looked after properly and allow players to actually play. Unfortunately, you won’t get that at this course. You also won’t be able to actually warm up, as they don’t have a range, but instead just a small green for putting practice.
The greens are so fast that it feels like you’re putting on concrete, and the fairways are under-watered to the point that at least every other shot was being played from hardened clay with sprinkles of grass on top of it. It made it nearly impossible to hit clean irons, and forget about chipping - we actually started putting from 20 feet off the green because it least it gave us a chance.
I don’t mean to sound dramatic - I realize this isn’t a 5-star course and I should expect what I pay for - but it’s still super disappointing to waste $80. There are plenty of better courses if you’re looking to stay under or around $100/person and I’d recommend looking at one of those.
