Silverado Golf Course welcomes all skill levels of golfer, but more advanced players will find the course pleasant but perhaps not as challenging as they would like. Located next to a bike trail that runs through much of Scottsdale, the course provides excellent views. While playing, golfers can enjoy vistas of the surrounding desert landscape as well as the Camelback and Mummy Mountains. A notable hole is the par-3 18th hole, not only for the gorgeous backdrop provided by the mountains but also its difficulty level. From its elevated tee, golfers get a good visual of the hole including the water and strategically placed bunkers that surround it.

It was... fine

The course is fine. Super hard and dry which makes the course play very short. We played $90 for twilight amount. It's hard to believe this is the type of course that warrants over $120 for a standard tee time. It's very mediocre quality. The staff and all was very nice.

Just ok

Open course with lots of room for missed shots off tee. Greens were not in good shape and sand was also bad. Fairways rolled so you got that benefit working for you on miss hits too. All in probably would just play a cheaper course for that quality.

Golf with freinds

Great layout and friendly fairways made for a great round for mid to high handicappers.

Just enough challenges to make for an interesting round

Enjoyed by all. Greens were very true and made for easy straight putts .

Dried out

Course was very dry, fairways were brutal. Only a couple of holes were in decent shape.

Way to expensive for the poor quality course that it is.

Avoid! Cement fairways and bunkers

Was in town for a few days and decided to play one extra round of golf. We settled on Silverado based on proximity, reviews, and availability for our specific tee time. There were plenty of times available even a day or 2 before but it was a mistake. It was about $150 a round for some of the worst conditions. The folks on the course are nice but I would not play here ever again. First, they do maintainence during the day while you’re playing. Want to tee off or hit a shot from the fairway? Wait for the grounds team to move their machines and carts. This was the case for the front 9 the day I went which was unbelievable. The fairways and course condition was just as tragic. The fairways are cement so if you usually take divots, you likely will need a cast on your wrist or elbow after your round. Sand traps were terrible. Hard sand and not enough sand. My leading wrist was in extreme pain after 5 holes. Don’t be fooled by the aesthetics of how they directionally mow their fairways.

Some of the holes are behind each other so for some holes you’d have to drive the cart a few minutes just to get to the next hole. The layout was weird and there are public trails that run through the course so be careful of random bikers or people on skates cruising by.

Poor quality for the price

Very dissatisfied with what we received for the money. The greens were punched recently with no warning from staff about this when we booked or when we checked in. There is no driving range and that was not conveyed very well at arrival or booking time. Rest of course conditions were not really what was to be expected paying the $150 for the round. Carts were very basic with no onscreen displays for yardages. Overall sub par experience and would not recommend for anyone looking for a good golf experience in the Scottsdale area.

Horrible staff

Was in town for a weekend. Booked a tee time for 18 holes a couple weeks out and prepaid.

The afternoon before playing I strained my back pretty badly. The next morning at the course I asked if we could just play nine holes instead of 18. I just wanted too hit wedges and putt while everyone else played.

We were told no. We prepaid and that was that. After asking them nicely again they said they would give me a rain check for 9 holes good for one year only. Not happy but ok.

After 9 holes I went to get the rain check. They said they’d fill it out and store it for me. I said thanks, but I wanted to take in case some friends or family might come to town. They refused and said it was their policy. I responded that I paid for the rain check and wanted it. They refused. I was very frustrated and said it was a bad policy. They still refused. I left. As I walked out the door they yelled a very sarcastic “have a nice day.”

Expensive for age Experience

For no driving range and a 5-hour round, this course was expensive. I played at McCormick Ranch two days before for $50 less and that included range balls. We played in a little over 4 hours. Much better experience! Even the Kierlands was cheaper and that is a resort course.
