Silverado Golf Course welcomes all skill levels of golfer, but more advanced players will find the course pleasant but perhaps not as challenging as they would like. Located next to a bike trail that runs through much of Scottsdale, the course provides excellent views. While playing, golfers can enjoy vistas of the surrounding desert landscape as well as the Camelback and Mummy Mountains. A notable hole is the par-3 18th hole, not only for the gorgeous backdrop provided by the mountains but also its difficulty level. From its elevated tee, golfers get a good visual of the hole including the water and strategically placed bunkers that surround it.

Finally Made it

I drive by it all the time, finally played. It was a good course but the holes are very spread out from each other so lots of cart driving. Also no range. Fun playing layout and good conditions though.

They sent my group out with out me 15 minutes before my tee time. I arrived and pay is and was ready to go 10 minutes before my time but the group was sent already. I was advised to join the. On the 2nd hole and replay the first hole by myself later.

Terrible shape

Many other courses at this price point that are much better. Greens and fairways were horrible. Would not recommend this course.

Not worth what they charge for a round

Muddy course. Bad greens, anlmo unputtable and almost naked fairway. Virtually No grass

Don’t recommend. A goof price for the such conditions would no more than $50

Overpriced for condition and time of year

Look, I know they’re aerating and the like, but the greens aren’t even properly dressed. Painfully bumpy and too many holes compared to literally every other course charging the same amount of money. Pace of play was also a NIGHTMARE, as our group was routinely waiting 5 minutes at every shot from tee to green. Since moving to Arizona I’ve made it a point to try and knock out trips to as many local courses as possible. For the price and time of year, this course is a HUGE miss. Much better to look for a hot deal at Las Sendas, dove valley, Troon, or even Aguila, GCU, etc etc.

Don’t know that it would’ve been possible for me to have been more disappointed in a round, as this was a waste of 40 bucks to play through a course that just isn’t in a shape that deserves that right now.

Summer is rough on golf courses

The Fairway grass was cut so low that it was almost like you were on the green

Poor conditions, overpriced

Thin spots all over the golf course. Poorly marshalled. They let a twosome go off before our tee time. That forced us to play as a twosome. Got to wait all morning. Fun. Greens were just sanded and punched but they still wanted $80 plus to trudge around this goat track. I’m done with this dump.

Course is in rough shape. Tee boxes generally ok, bunch of spots in the fairway were dirt. If playing in the morning, you’ll find pools of water in the fairways. Greens were sandy, but they were punched. Overall, not horrible, but not really worth the $.

Also the time I signed up on GN was not the time I was booked for? Only off by 15 min, but still odd.

Average to low quality public course lacking amenities

First, this course doesn't have a range. It does have some batting cage-type nets, but you will have minimal feedback on your shots or swing outside of feel—and that's if you get a chance to use them.

The course was rough for Arizona, even during our hot months. On many holes, the fairways were challenging to distinguish from rough. Fairways and greens were patchy with very little consistency.

I want to say that maybe 2/18 of the tee boxes (from the white tees) were flat enough not to impact your tee shot. Constantly playing the ball on a slope is not a great way to start any hole.

The greens didn't roll true, and each green rolled at different speeds from the next. It also seemed like lots of invasive grass had made its way into the course. You will be hitting and putting over cabbage regularly.

Overall, this course is fine if you just want to avoid typical desert golf and hitting from rocks but the value simply isn't there for me to return in the future. Your money is better spent elsewhere on a more consistent track that is better maintained.

Good Course @ A Good Price

Good conditions at Silverado combined with an excellent pace of play makes this course fun to play. Greens run very true and steady. Cutting the severe corner with your drive on # 10 starts off the second nine with a flair! More elevated tees on holes 10-18 makes the second nine more challenging ans scenic than the first 9. Hole #18 is one of the best par-3 finishing holes in the valley. Fore!

Bomber friendly and meticulous

First round today, friendly staff, decent tees and greens, receptive fairways, and overall thoroughly manicured course. The front 9 are fun and fairly easy, the back 9 is a bit more interesting. The downsides are there is no range but there are some nets, a putting green and a small but adequate chipping area. Some of the fairways and greens have some rough or burnt patches but they were not unplayable. Our early tee time meant we had some dew soaked greens and fairways but my buddy and I went out on our own, 10 mins early and got thru our round in 3:40 mins. We had no one in front of us or hitting into us and kept a fast but casual pace. One of the more fun rounds I’ve had this year.

Punched fairways

I have played Silverado in the past, but the front nine had been punched. I know this is a necessary evil, but it would have been nice to know before I made the booking.
