Silverado Golf Course welcomes all skill levels of golfer, but more advanced players will find the course pleasant but perhaps not as challenging as they would like. Located next to a bike trail that runs through much of Scottsdale, the course provides excellent views. While playing, golfers can enjoy vistas of the surrounding desert landscape as well as the Camelback and Mummy Mountains. A notable hole is the par-3 18th hole, not only for the gorgeous backdrop provided by the mountains but also its difficulty level. From its elevated tee, golfers get a good visual of the hole including the water and strategically placed bunkers that surround it.

Nice course

Very well maintained, staff excellent - took bags from the car to carts. Very friendly. Cleaned clubs after round. Upbeat. Very helpful

Lot of cart driving between holes. Didn’t have to hit over much dessert which was very nice.

Fun course to play, but overpriced

A good but not great public course, which doesn’t justify the $185 rate I paid for a weekday round. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the fairways were in good shape, but the greens were a little beat up. No practice range. I realize prices are elevated everywhere this time of year in the valley, but relatively to other courses, not a good value.

Slow round!

Course was in good shape, but we ran out of sun after 13 holes. It turns out as we were driving back to the clubhouse we saw a giant group of 7 (yes 7!!!!) that was the cause of the slowdown. We would have appreciated the ranger noticing and helping us out. This was over a 5 hr per round pace on a fairly short course

Kind of disappointed

For some reason we were delayed on our start due to late arrivals(not us) and a group of wedding bachelor party who were not only late but played very slow. Rangers tried to move them alone but to no avail and not the rangers fault. The rangers need the authority to make them skip holes to catch up. Nothing worse than not being able to finish my round do to a selfish group who I think were playing a mini scramble.

Great course, Great people

Great experience at Silverado. I wasn’t able to make my original tee time due to a family emergency, and they kindly issued me a rain check. I used it the following week and had a fantastic round. Great people and a great course I really appreciated the understanding and hospitality.

First time player

The course was fun, probably easier for better players than myself. There was some issues checking in and not getting the military tee time discount, but was fixed. Good service along with the carts.

Great staff

Friendliest staff from pro shop to bar cart and everything in between. Made it a pleasure to play. Course in good shape 8.5/10. Not much desert in the desert- no cholla etc- pretty benign. The main defense the course puts forth is the pin placements. Pace of play was 4:37.

Nice place to play a game of golf. Not too difficult but challenging. Nice facilities and staff. I little pricey for after 3 PM play.

Nice and easy

I would never say any golf course is "easy," but this one is pretty straightforward. It's very short, and doesn't try to compensate with a bunch of wild greens or crazy blind shots (see Arizona Grand). My only nitpick is that you should probably have GPS on the carts for any course charging over $150. Still, I'd go back.

great value

Finding a nice course to play in Phoenix or Scottsdale in the winter that doesn't cost more than $200 isn't easy. Silverado is a great find. The only downside is no driving range, so warming up is a challenge. That said, I would play here again.
