Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club

We enjoyed our round of golf. A break from the northwest temperatures.

Solid course. Good layout. Reasonable price. Some of the greens were a bit rough. Portions of the course are along a highway. Excellent hot dogs. Back 9 is more scenic than front 9.

The course was in really good shape and enjoyed the greens as well, I'm happy to see that the back nine was cleaned up to play nicely. I want to say the work that Lenny and the rest of the crew put into the restoration of the course was done very well.

Booked the twilight rate at 2:30pm yesterday for $54 per person + tax. Great value for the money!! The course is in great shape. Best I've seen it in a long time and we golf here often as we are locals. The maintenance team does an excellent job!! And the staff is so helpful and friendly. Always running to get carts, load your clubs, and keep everyone on time. All with a smile on their face!! Challenging enough for all levels of play. Love this course!

The Marshall came yelling at us on the 15th hole that we were a hole behind. I told him that there was a five some with four carts with wives totalling 8 people that were in front of us all day and we were waiting with the group behind us on every hole That group had left for home on the 14th hole and 4 hours in to the round. We reached the 17th hole tee box and we had caught up to the group that were two groups in front of us. We were waiting for them to clear 275yds for us to hit our tee shots and the marshall comes and demand that we let the group behind us pass. That group behind us had not even hit their tee shot on the 16th tee. He comes back after talking with them and says the group behind us is not wanting to pass so we can keep going. The 18th hole is a par 3 and we ended up waiting about 8 min at the 18th tee box for the group to clear. The Marshall obviously did not like us and wanted to punish us in some way (my wife and two adult sons on vacation). It was a nice slow vacation round and I just made back to back birdies until the angry Marshall encounter. I cannot blame the back to back double bogeys on the 16 and 17th hole on the Marshall but he definitely ruined our experience with Silverdado in the end. Missed my 5ft birdie on the 18th - a fitting end to an awful staff experience at Silverdado. Missing my country club back home.

The cost was more than what it should be for not having a driving range and stacking foursomes up. Had to wait on EVERY hole.
