Silverado Golf Course welcomes all skill levels of golfer, but more advanced players will find the course pleasant but perhaps not as challenging as they would like. Located next to a bike trail that runs through much of Scottsdale, the course provides excellent views. While playing, golfers can enjoy vistas of the surrounding desert landscape as well as the Camelback and Mummy Mountains. A notable hole is the par-3 18th hole, not only for the gorgeous backdrop provided by the mountains but also its difficulty level. From its elevated tee, golfers get a good visual of the hole including the water and strategically placed bunkers that surround it.

Easy course - good for all skill levels

Great condition in mid-November after over-seeding season. Wide open, very few water hazards. Got to hit driver on just about every Par 4/5 without much worry about losing balls. Excellent fairways, rough, greens. Par 3's are good distance. This is a course you can play to see how low you go on.

Friendly staff everywhere - ranger, starter, clubhouse. Great clubhouse with restaurant and bar. Drink cart came around several times.

Cost was high for what it was though - paid $100 for a twlight tee time. 8 minute tee time intervals meant waiting on several holes on the front 9. Course should look into upgrading carts - no windshield, no sand for divot repair, no coolers with water, and the parking brake didn't work.

Never Play here Again

Worst golf experience this year. Got paired with three 80 year olds. Slow, crap golf. Starter was unfriendly and unwilling to let me play with group thread. Played 9 and quit. Wish I could get my money back. Would score zeroes if there was that option. Stay Away!!

Not great value

The fact that this course was open for 18 holes for 4 guys on short notice should have been an indication. This course seems to be in a water management area, which probably leads to the issues I had with it. The course was quite soft / wet although there was no rain for a long time leading up to our round. Also the soil just below the grass was virtually all clay, so you are constantly cleaning that stuff out of your grooves. In all, the course was OK to play......if it was half the price.

Short but challenging and fun

I enjoyed my round, and without knowing the course and no information (No GPS, yardage book, course map etc.) I was still able to shoot one of my best scores of year from the tips, carding a 74 (I'm an 8.4 handicap currently). Course was wet and over seeded, but greens rolled fast and true. Layout was fun, and even tho a short course there is plenty of challenge for low handicappers. Rough was just long enough to provide slight penalty for missing fairways, which I liked. Good place for a fun round, and if you keep the ball in play you will have a fun time! Island green par 3 finish is fun, I was able to hit green and par, but while drinking beer after round and watching several group, I'd say only about 25% hit green.

Course was in good shape.

Pace was a bit slow, waited on most holes. We really liked the course though.

Overseeding

The course played well and I understand the conditions after they successfully completed over seeding. It was a little wet and greens a little slow BUT that is to be expected in the conditions presented with growing in the new perineal rye/bluegrass grass on top of the Bermuda summer grass. The grounds crew I would expect to have these things dialed in over the next month.

Finished round at just over 4 hours so pace was good even though it seemed like we got stuck at a few tee boxes. Compared to some other courses in the country I was pleased that I wasn’t out there for 5+ hours.

Silverado is consistently good.

Course is in good shape and condition. Pace of play was a little slow. With overseeding complete, fairways are soft due to watering. Same for areas around the greens. Overall, a fun place to play.

Great course

Pace of play was extremely slow, but it was a weekend with a couple large groups ahead. Overall the course was very nice, staff was awesome and we had a great time. Took us 5.5hours to get through our round. Would definitely recommend for a weekday round
