Hernando Oaks Golf & Country Club

For the cost, this just isn’t worth it. It’s a decent course but the traps were like cement, some looked like they could’ve had fossils in them. The golf carts were absolute garbage. Brakes were almost non existent and the seats looked like a dog had been chewing on them. Some greens were fine, others were super patchy with sand all over them. I remember one trap on a par 3 didn’t even have a rake and my ball landed in a foot print. Overall unimpressed and would rather go to many of the other courses in the area

The people were friendly,the greens and fairways are very good. the tee boxes and sand traps were playable but need work.I would play there again and recommend it to others. two thumbs up.

Overall condition is very good , only complaint would be the condition of some of the tee boxes. Greens are in good condition . I have played this course several times and consider it to be one of the better public courses in the area.

Tee boxes were bad, little grass and hard as a rock. The sand traps were dirty and very hard.

Condition of course was very good. the only problem I have with the course is most greens are elevated. False fronts, some holes 10 foot drop off the sides or front of greens which makes tougher chips. (I know hit the green and there is not that problem) You will use all of the clubs in your bag, unless you are a scratch golfer. most of us are not.

The fairways, and the greens are in really good shape. The greens are the best greens I have found putting in the Crystal River/Brooksville area. The tee boxes are in OK shape the cart paths and sand trap ms need work. I recommend the course, enjoy playing it, and will be playing it again.

Course was in good shape, nice fairways, greens recovering well from aerating, some tee boxes were hard getting tee in, sand traps need some work. Played 18 holes in little over 3 hours.

Extremely slow play no marshall beverage cart showed up on first green and then never again

Course in good shape except for bunkers. Suggest they take some away and sod over to speed up pace of play. This would help in the winter season when Snow Birds turn up. Just a thought!

Course layout was very good and challenging. Fairways and greens were good. Pace of play was below average as it took 4 and a half hours to complete. ALL bunkers needed work and sand but was told course was coming into new management. Will definitely play again.

I love this course and I play it any time I can afford it. Challenging layout and always in fine condition. There are few tee boxes that need some new grass. Otherwise cant complain. This course makes Silverthorn look like a cow pasture.

He a do Oaks is a great track and a great value. You can tell they are working some of the greens but it’s nothing that would prevent you from putting. Would play again soon.
