Hernando Oaks Golf & Country Club

The greens were pretty good. The only negatives here were the carts weren’t the nicest and a few of the tee boxes weren’t playable. Other than that, it was great.

Got there just after a rain shower. Course was in beautiful condition. Greens were nice. Staff was friendly.

Greens were in great shape. Some of the tee boxes were ruffed up but who really cares i. Your par 4’s and 5’s. Will definitely add this to the rotation

Played 18 holes on Memorial Day. Front 9 was busy and took 2.5 hours. After making the turn at 10 my partner who plays there frequently suggested we just play 1-9 again as it thinned out. We got through the front 9 in 1.5 hours. Our tee time was 3:08. It was overbooked those in front of us were not slow playing they just were dealing with backup.

Course was in average-good condition depending on holes.

Fairways were in good shape. Putting speed was a little fast but better than most courses in the area.

Landing on greens is a challenge as Hernando Oaks greens are small and well guarded by sand on most sides.

A good course to play and a good value.

Showed up for my booked tee time at 12:45 only to be told they didn’t have enough carts and I would have to ride with someone. Ok fair enough but the guy they wanted me to ride with was a total douche, complaining about not wanting to ride with someone he wouldn’t want to drink a beer at the bar with. (Yea same back at ya buddy) the only thing I was told at the pro shop was I’m sorry that’s how we do it with Golf Now. Well you don’t ever have to worry about seeing me back at this course. Greedy it was a hot deal and you couldn’t even offer my $13 back lol poor management off course and tee times would NOT recommend

My third time playing this course, and I will tell anyone that ask me that they are the best greens to putt in the area. The golf carts are old and need to be replaced, but I know the new owner is focusing on the condition of the course. Really enjoy playing this course. Every time we go, and I found the staff to be very friendly.

course was in excellent condition and fun to play.

Course was very well managed and fairways pristine. Greens were similar from green to green as far as speed and reading, although in my opinion the holes were broken as I did not sink any! Starter was polite and jolly, refreshment staff friendly and helpful and cute! Play was awesome, keep ball in play and one could score on this course.

First of all, the old owners had issues with mud and rain which was tolerable. The new owners have fixed that but the carts are horrendous. They all suck and die on the course because they’re not maintained. Secondly……the ranger is useless, he does nothing for rate of play and just drives around with a cigar in his mouth. Overly booked and no control over groups that are acting like they’re playing for millions taking 10 minutes per shot. Usually a 3 hour round here and it was 5 hours. Unacceptable. Will not be coming back and I was an avid Hernando Oaks golfer for years.

One of the better places to play in the Brooksville area.

Manager did not show up. Tee times 1.5 HOURS behind schedule. Had guys going off back and front without checking in. Total disaster at the turns. Fairways poor. Greens are really coming in nice though! Tee boxes are the worst I’ve seen, just awful. It’s clearly a management issue and without addressing soon, they will lose players and money. In addition, can’t even get a cup of coffee until 9 AM, opens too late. Especially for summer tee times.

Greens were in great condition and rolled true. Fairways should be watered more often and possibly consider letting grass grow longer so they sun doesn’t bake them. Overall a great layout and fun course to play from the Blue tees.
