a must play!
for the money or not,one of the best trac's in florida!! we play mission inn alot,and hernando oaks is in the same great shape!!! worth the travel... dont go on a fri afternoon, they have two golf league's and 4somes on every hole!..good luck!
Hernando Oaks
Pace of play was excellent. Fairways and tee boxes in good condition. A few greens had some problem areas.
Overall it’s a nice course.
Greens are good, fairway grass very short, a few tee areas so hard you can't get a tee in the ground. You get what you pay for. If you want prestine, pay a c-note somewhere else. Hernando is definitely worth a try on a hot deal. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Needs TLC
I've played here several times in the past and it's always been an "average" course which was maintained somewhat adequately. Today, not so much. In fairness, the day before a round of thunderstorms came through so that likely contributed to all the debris on the fairways AND greens. Now for the rest of the conditions. Tee boxes are terrible, barely any grass and mostly dirt. Unfortunately, there were a few fairways in the same condition with dead grass, dirt and some green grass. The greens, besides all the debris we ok but some were missing grass all together in spots. The sand traps were hard, muddy and unkept. The owners should invest a little money in this course, it has the potential to be one of the better courses in the area
Great value
Once you get they the security gate it’s worth the drive. Greens were in great shape and fast. Tees were a bit hard but overall great shape.
Hidden gem
Wow . What a great layout out in the woods. Really quick ,hard greens .will go back!!
You do well
The golf course condition and service were all good, except that there were bad people reporting to the clubhouse that we were pudding on the 3rd hole and the team behind us made the ball to the green, but players who didn't say they were sorry couldn't even follow us and reported to the clubhouse for a throw play.

Great layout..fairways were good but not great.
Greens were smooth and just the right speed.
Would go back and play without hesitation.
Only issue was the person behind the counter.
Wow!!! I have played over 2500 rounds of golf in my life and never have I met someone at a pro shop who just didn't really want to be there as much as this fellow.
It was actually impressive how little he really cared about making an effort to be pleasant.
That said I really enjoyed the course and the price was good.
