Good Value
Nice course, with challenging holes.
Was in great shape today.
Is always dry when courses more south are not.
Cart path only
I have played this course a few times and the layout is very good. It is challenging but fair. Other reviewers complained about the greens being air rated but they have filled in and were no problem at all. Problem was when I checked in I was told play was cart path only. I could see why because the course was pretty wet. Being a senior it was a tough day with all the walking.
Rainy Daze
Got rained out couldn’t contact anyone for a refund would like to speak to someone about a resolution.
Aerated Greens are the only complaint....
I booked this a few days back and never checked reviews. 6/19 reviews said greens were just aerated.....well having golfed for many years, TODAY 6/24 they seemed like they had just been aerated. Other than that frustration, it is a GREAT track and always enjoy playing there.
Good Value
The course had just been airated so the greens were impossible. Aside from that, decent course with some pretty nice holes. Good value for the price
Bad greens
Course has a great lay out. Greens were punched and are absolutely horrible. I would not recommend playing till the greens are better. Looks like it could be a very nice course. Not worth the money with the greens the way they are.
Course was in much better shape due to a few recent rains!
Great course, no staff or water on the course
We enjoyed our round of golf on the course. However, even early in the morning it gets hot out quickly and drinks get warm. We checked multiple water coolers placed throughout the course and all of them were empty. There was also no one coming around offering any kind of refreshments meaning your only chance was between 9 and 10.
Other than that, the course was beautiful, pace was excellent and we enjoyed our game.
Good
I've never seen Hernando this dry. Fairways are brown, greens ok but for a few spots. Some rain will do wonders. Still playable, no problems in that regard. Go play.
Better conditions than expected
Given the incredibly dry weather so far this spring, I expected the course to be parched. There are some dry areas, to be sure, and a couple greens have patches of repair, but surprisingly the course is in very playable condition with few tight lies. Pace of play, 3.5 hours on a nearly perfect day. Hopefully our summer weather pattern will soon start bringing much needed rain to replenish the turf.
