I have played this course a few times lately because I like the course but the pace of play is very slow like 4 and a half hours to 5 hours which takes away the pleasure of playing there

Need to add water on the ball cleaner on the course

What a great place to play, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The layout of the course is nice.

The greens are fast and true. The driving range is unlimited use which is great to hone your game before you play.

The greens were in good shape and the course layout is challenging yet fair. The fairways, tee boxes and rough is in poor shape. Many bare spots and poor conditions. You can see that they do not water the fairways or maintain them. It is in better shape than a year ago but not worth the increased greens fees.

Pace is very slow. They bunched everyone to close.

We visit this course every year when we are in town. The price is fair for the quality. There is a good pace of play typically and we always meet nice people when we play.

Love this course but conditions are going the other way. Tee boxes are in bad shape. Fairways have a lot of bare spots needs work. Green are excellent shape but areas around the green are sandy in a lot of areas. Sorry to see start to go the other way like other courses in our area. Hope they a little work back into it.

We had a 1:16 teatime however my wife spent the morning in urgent care. Called the course and the guy I talked to said no problem whenever you get here. Arrived about 2:30 got right out finished about 6:15. Course was in decent shape would definitely play it again.

I’m sorry to report that Silverthorn, like so many other abandoned FL Golf Courses has gone from a local favorite play to “A What Happened Here” The tee boxes and fairways are in the need of some real urgent attention. Rather than grass several fairways had nothing but weeds and green colored sand! The greens were nice but slow due to the lack of regular mowing and rolling!

The true evidence of the lack of regular maintenance and maintenance funding is the fact of several downed trees on the course from the September Hurricanes! Clearly indicating that there is no regular caring for the course presently. This was a very disappointing round!

The fairways were a little bit better than Winter average. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Only negative; DON'T PLAY ON A MONDAY. RESTAURANT AND BAR ARE CLOSED. So if you'd like food or alcoholic beverages, forget it. Non-alcoholic bevs in the Proshop.

On the first nine we had to wait at most Tess due to slow play 2 groups ahead . On the back nine

a twosome started on the tenth hole and made it slower. We waited on every tee box on the back and were close to 5 hours by the time we finished.

I would hope that would not allow this to happen again. They should have a ranger to help encourage pace of play to match the quality of the course.
