About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

Have not played here for over a year because of previous course conditions. Noticed course conditions are better and ownership is putting more money into it. Unfortunately, part of the staff Lack of hospitality ruined my experience. The gentleman behind the counter made me wait several minutes to finish a personal call before waiting on me. He also got an attitude when I asked for a rain check. He question my honesty, and was a genuine pain. I will not be back to Silverthorne again. Ownership should coach staff to be more hospitable, and make the playing experience more pleasant.

Night and day difference
I have played at this course three times over the past six months and the last time I played was the best by far. It’s obvious that they’re putting a lot of money into making it a very nice golf course. I will be going back soon.

I can tellits getting better
Maybe its because I hear they have somebody in charge now that knows how to grow grass and take care of a course. Its not perfect but I can tell they are making the effort. Tell a friend to play it for the layout but let them know its a work in progress. Dont windup like 7 hills.

Better
Last played the course 2 weeks ago and the course is in better condition now. This includes tee boxes, traps, and most fairways.

Sand Traps
Sand trap maintenance was terrible needs sand and landscaping.

Course was not in great shape but has great potential. They were in the process of over-seeding so should get better.

Great course design
The course is layed out very well, with water holes and scenic homes.
Unfortunately, it is in very rough condition. Almost no fairway grass, playing on sand and dirt mostly.
For 22.00 for 18 holes I guess you definitely get what you pay for. Unfortunate ☹️
