About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

Fun Round
The sand traps need some work but the rest of the course was good. Great value.

So Much Better
We played here 3 months ago and I swore I'd never come back. I do love the layout so we gave it another shot. We were pleasantly surprised because the course was much better and we enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back...

Good weather, good course conditions
The course was in fairly good shape. The greens were good, and the fairways were ok. Some of the fairways lacked grass, which was occasionally like hitting out of a bunker. But overall, the course was good. The layout of the holes is great, and there’s a good variety between very challenging and very easy holes. I enjoyed the time there.

At least the greens are good
The greens are better than average condition the rest of the course not so much. Front 9 better condition than the back 9.
Went out as a single at 1220p, a 5 some let me play through at #2, and then an elderly 3 some let me play through at #6 made the turn in 1hr 15 min then the back log began, took 3 hrs to play the back 9, you can see the groups ahead not playing ready golf, I timed each of the last four holes with my phone stopwatch par 3 took 14 min, 2 par 4's took 15.5 minutes and the par 5 18th took over 22 minutes (smh)

The Sand Box
I started on the back. The Starter was great to allow me to start on the back 9. Tee one was 4 4 some deep.
Tee boxes are mostly beat up and sandy. Most of the fairways are also sand and weeds. Green side bunkers are ok but fairway bunkers are unmanaged with weeds. The silver lining is the greens are good. Balls roll true and hold on second shots. Beautiful homes and some fun elevation changes. Hope they turn it around.

Not what I expected
I have play here a few rounds before.
Was surprised to see this course go down hill
1. Grass growing in bunkers.
2. Chip marks all fairways, some really deep and large.
3. Alot of brown grass.
4. Had a tee time of 9:20am. Did not.tee off til 10:15am.
Course allows teenagers playing with carts
