The golf track is nice and challenging
Silverthorne has improved the greens greatly since October myself and golf partners said we wouldn’t play here again until some improvements were done. I understand dealing with drought conditions makes it rough for all courses but the fairways need some weed control. In conclusion greens are great condition fairways need to help they are playable if you don’t play PGA rules and allow yourself to move the ball around to find some grass. In my opinion its value and staff friendliness make the trip from south Tampa well worth it
Pure professionalism
This course is everything I need to enjoy a round of golf in a friendly environment.
2026 Spring Break
Best value for 2026 spring break golf! Tees, fairways, collars, and greens were in great shape, only minor issue was the bunkers weren't raked, so don't hit in the bunker!
Challenging Course
Silverthorn is a challenging layout with the back nine being more difficult than the front.
The greens were the best we have played all year.
Unfortunately the fairways were in poor shape especially the back nine.
Bunkers have no rakes and there are no rakes on the carts so bunkers were a minefield of footprints and gouges.
slow slow
a very good golf course but the last 2 times we.ve played our 2 rounds were almost 5 hours long each.that totally takes out the fun and pleasure of the experience.
Great Course
Played for first time the other day and thought it was a really fun course and well maintained, will definitely play again
Not happy
Where do I start, tee time was 11:30 and when we checked in they said it was 11:12. I told the starter he was mistaken but he said no, I showed him my conformation on golf now and he didn’t t know what to say. Then he told us to follow the four some ahead of us. While we were waiting to tee off another group of 4 drove past us. When we drove up they said they were teeing off next as they were all playing in a scramble. We told them that the starter said for us to tee off and that’s what we were going to do. Poor organization if you ask me, then it was a 5 hour round. Just not how you run a course! Would like to know who and why they changed our tee time !
Good Shape
Greens are great. Grass everywhere else is looking good. Best shape course around after the winter.
Great Day and Friendly Staff
The course was in good condition (Fairways and greens) especially given the drought. The rough is rough but manageable. Their prices are worth the drive.
Good course to play
Good course for price. Go play this course enjoying your day on greens that role smooth and fun to read and putt. Fairways and tee boxes typical for this time of year yet challenging on most holes. Enjoyable, but must comment on the poor range balls and lousy sand bunkers. Suggest filling in bunkers with grass vs ignoring them which just hurts the courses reputation. But go enjoying this track with pre - knowledge about the range balls and bunkers. And oh, on Mondays no food or beverages in bar, its closed!
Bunkers need lots of love
Obviously, for this time of year, the conditions were not the best in terms of grass growth. greens were fine. Sand traps were awful. They were not groomed and they need to fill in a little more sand.
Much Improved
I played Silverthorn a few years ago and it was in poor condition. Overall the course has improved dramatically. The greens were in good shape but slow, the fairways were good for winter drought conditions, need more sand in the bunkers. Pace of play was about 4hrs and overall its a great value for the money. Interesting course, good layout, not too much trouble. Wish they still had the Gold tees as 6500 is the longest Tee that have now.
Sketchy
Greens are inconsistent. Too hard to putt. Many fairways and tees in bad condition
