Silverthorn Country Club
About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

greens
greens were pretty good. better then other places ive been lately
Needs work
For the money, not bad. Greens are really nice, a fun course. But the fairways are basically a pasture. Greens are good. Water is clean and beautiful. Bunkers and fairways need some love. Hard to believe the money isn't there in this community to keep it beautiful.
Solid Course
A lot of newbies on this golf course all the time. Seems like they need to space the tee times out more because a lot of combustion and waiting going on out there. Great course just needs to fix the slow play mainly
Improved
The course has improved significantly from the last time I played, about 18 months ago. Greens are much improved. Fairways and tee boxes are a little better but not much.
Silverthorn
Great day- greens were perfect and it wasn’t crowded.
Abysmal
I am a member of this course and it has gradually gone down hill over the years to point that it's current condition is abysmal. Many tee's are barren as are fairways, especially on the back nine. The greens are maintained fairly well but the remainder of the course is not good. The course layout is amazing. At one time the Canadian PGA held their Q school here but those days are long gone.
Greens are rolling great!
This course has a good layout. Some fun holes. What they have done with the greens in the last year is tremendous. If any of that spills out to the rest of the course it will be a hidden gem.
Silverthorne Country Club Assessment
So we played Silverthorne yesterday. Tee boxes were in fair condition & the fairways were in okay condition some fairways were alright while others were a little rougher. All 18 greens were in pristine condition! Beautiful and were fairly quick and rolled very well! The approach to all the greens were also in excellent condition. So even though some fairways were a little rough the greens tea made up for it. We would recommend playing the course you will enjoy the day. Please check out our YouTube channel “HangTime Golfer “ we did a review a few years ago. Regards,Al Lanz
Course is in better condition then last time I played 2 years ago.
