About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

Shame
How could anyone could recommend this course. There are no fairways. Learn to give accurate reviews or don't give any at all. Maybe spend a couple bucks and go see what a course should be. Unreal
T boxes
The t boxes are not maintained. Full of leaves an divots

Good greens, Good price,
Played the course twice in one week. The greens are in good shape, soft and stick when you hit them. The tee boxes had been reseeded and looking good but some were already showing signs of wear. Maybe it would be a good idea to put out sand and seed at the tee boxes so some golfers can help repair their divots. The speed of play was good on Friday but was slow to very slow on Tuesday. Most of the sand traps I hit out of were playable and clean. Some that I saw could have used additional sand and a rake. The fairways do need work, there are locations that have no grass whatsoever. They do need to repair or replace some of their carts. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a cart to become available. Hope this help someone make a decision.

Fairway Grass Be Nice
My buddy and I play here qute a bit and every time the fairways just get worse. Will they ever take the time and money to put some grass out there? Also some of the tee boxes are in the same shape. I enjoy the layout and it is close to home but there are more courses for the same price in better condition.

Goat Ranch
Played this course a few years prior and was pretty good. My how times have changed. As indicated by the title of this review this place is now awful. Most of the fairways were sand with very little grass, greens looked nice but were like billiard tables and extremely slow. Never again, plow it under.

Go to a range…dont waste hour money
1: on course ammenities were all closed. No food, no beverages of any kind, no beverage cart
2: greens were 7 out of 10 and decent
3: tee boxes and fairways were simply a sandy weed patch. No grass anywhere except twitch grass around greens. If you enjoy practicing from poor, sandy, muddy fairway lies this is the place for you
4: my third player paid before I arrived but cashier charged me for all three golfnow green fees anyway (i didnt know the third player had already paid). I now have an hour drive each way to get a refund as “they have e new system and cannot refund my credit card remotely”
5: my index is 10.2 so its not like I dont play much golf. I just dont understand how some courses like this if affluent private communities can allow their courses to get in such poor condition. if I owned a house on this course I would sell

Nice affordable course
Nice course but could use a bit of work on some t-boxes. Nice layout and somewhat challenging. Overall, I will continue golfing there when deals are offered.

THE ONLY GOOD THING IT THE TEES AND GREENS.
