Meadowlark Golf Course
About
Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach is a player-friendly layout that is a popular choice amongst locals. Like most classically designed layouts, the course is short and tight but that also makes it easily walkable. The pin placements on the greens can be tricky and there are also some challenging water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course will test your short game skills but there are wide, player-friendly fairways that balance the trickier elements. Beware, though, numerous trees on the golf course make many of the tee shots tight and narrow. It is not an overly difficult layout but it is an enjoyable round that players of any skill level will enjoy. Meadowlark also offers affordable rates that make it doubly appealing.

Nice course, would play again
Meadowlark is a nice course. Nothing extraordinary, but for a public course it was enjoyable, well maintained, fairly forgiving but with some challenging greens. Overall it was a fun day. I would definitely play again.
It rained
Only reason for lower ratings on course conditions was rain. That’s not on them. Can’t control the weather
Horrible Conditions
The course is a quagmire and plays 5+ hours. Friendly Marshall helping speed things up. Bring a boat for the fairways.
The course was challenging and in great shape
I like this course, i am a 20 handy cap and found the course challenging, a good test and was 21 over par.
Really fun course, but…
I really enjoy playing this course. A lot of variety in the course layout. But when I needed to use the restroom at the 17th hole, it was really filthy. That’s a major turnoff for me. Another thing is the guys who played in front of us waited until the group ahead of them were 300 yrds away before they hit. Two of the three guys were not even hitting it 200 yrs. It really slowed up the round to nearly 5 hours. Bottom line is they need a Marshall to keep pace of play and someone to clean their restrooms. It would make the experience so much more enjoyable.
Not bad for the money
The course is squishy and muddy on a lot of holes. Thin top grass. Balls and clubs required cleaning after every shot. Ended the round with 2 pretty muddy towels. Drainage seems inefficient in a majority of the holes. On a positive note, divots are easy to create. Divot sand bottles were empty and about 20 refill bottles in the crates to exchange them were also empty. Not the greatest experience with this weather so I'd recommend this course for spring or summer or when it's dryer. Carts were good. Scorecards lacked hole information other than basic distance (no map on opposite side to assist with course management. There's quite a few blind dog legs.).
Pace of play was 4 hours.
Pro shop gentleman was really slow and an a-hole, said and agreed by 3 different groups in line and on the course.
6.5 hours for a round of golf
Our tee time was delayed 45 minutes. We finish the round in 6.5 hours. For a $69 fee you can play at a much better course with better service. Will not be coming back here again.
Good Track
Meadowlark is a good course and is maintained pretty well. The greens right now are really nice. I have the same complaint about every course though, just costs so much to golf on a weekend. For a Par 70 layout, paying 70$ to ride seems high on a muni.
