Sherman Hills Golf Club

Sherman Hills is always in great condition and worth the drive from Port Richey......not too much water or sand hazards, but a stray shot will cost you, like on most courses.....very friendly staff ......looking to return again someday soon.....

The course is always fun with a great layout. However, the conditions are not very good I get that its been very dry here in Florida but there is hardly any grass to hit off and the greens are still temp on the back 9 it seems like that has been like that for 2-3 years. Just a heads up before you go. Very nice pro shop staff as always and a fine layout with hills.

The front 9 is great. There are some greens on the back that are not playable.

Course is a winner, just bad timing. Played this course a few times before and really like the layout. With the weather being so hot it was frustrating to wait on every tee shot for 18 holes. I will ask the important question before booking a tee time next time around. Love the course though.

Great course and absolutely nobody here in Mondays . There are a couple of greens under repair but overall I really like this course.

Course was in overall good shape, and they are in the process of getting ready to repair 2 of the greens that have been in poor condition. Hopefully they get them sorted out quickly cause I really like playing this course.

The course is in great shape fairways are nice and plush, rough will make you pay. There are three greens on the back that are under duress but overall it’s a great place to play. I wish the greens were faster, but understand why they keep them slow.

Other than the greens on 13 and 14 the course was okay. They are working on getting them back up to par. The rest of the is in good shape.

Sad to write this review as Sherman Hills has always been one of my favorite courses to play. It’s been a while since I have played so don’t know when the new rules went into place. You are not allowed to stop for lunch at mid day, in the summer. You must order lunch before the 9th tee and pick it up and keep moving. The feels like temp was 110+ the day I played. I was told the staff would be yelled at and that if the manager came in, my group would be yelled at. 10-15 to cool off and eat half a sandwich is not asking too much. We saw no other group on the back and pace of play was fantastic. Not sure what the rule addresses but we have scratched Sherman Hills from our list for a while.

The Greens are recovering nicely. Still have 13, 14 and 17 that they can't seem to get squared away, but the rest of the course is in real good condition.

This course is really nice. There are a few greens that need some love but overall a beautiful course. Will no doubt play here again.
