About
At Red Rock Country Club, Arnold Palmer has created an escape from desert golf with a lush green course that forces golfers to think over their shots. As you're thinking, a waterfall could be crashing in the background. There are actually two Palmer courses here, but only The Arroyo is open for public play.
It measures in at 6,883 yards from the back tees and uses dramatic bunkering to set off its holes. The par 4s are particularly inventive, especially the 432-yard 4th. The par-3 seventh gives you great views of The Strip in the distance. The greens consistently run 10-11 on the Stimpmeter and the fairways are designed to funnel shots that are not overly wild back into decent lies.
"The Arroyo Course is what it is -- a playable course with stunning scenery and a smattering of decent golf holes," former TravelGolf.com writer Shane Sharp said. "It won't provide as memorable a round as Sin City's big-name resort courses, but the price is relative. If you're looking for a course to include in your annual Vegas rotation, Arroyo would be a nice addition, considering its conditioning and scenery."

Great round!
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were slow in the early morning and sped up as they dried out. Greens weren’t in the best of shape with divoting present.

Disappointed in Course Condition
Fairways were in rough shape with significant patches unplayable.
Bunkers washed out due to rain and flooding which is not the golf courses fault. Working to repair.
Greens were furry and not cut/rolled.
Golf course has a great layout with fun holes, maintenance conditions ruined this golf courses rating.

Arroyo/Red Rock Golf Club
This course is very well maintained. their driving is great, you are provided with range balls included with your green fees. Carts are always clean and zin good working condition. the course layout is one of the best in Las Vegas.

I was expecting some difficulties due to the flooding
The Greens however were beyond shaggy, the fairways were very long. Bunkers were unplayable. The member side appeared to be in very good shape, the greens were obviously far better maintained as were the fairways, The course should have warned Golf Now and Golf Now should have warned us.

Kudos to grounds crew turning the course around after the huge floods. Every worker was super friendly and course is an awesome layout.
Played 80% of courses in Vegas and this is on the top of my list.

Nice course
Teeing off starting on the 7th hole is the norm here ( the scorecards are set up as such). Course was in great shape for this time of year outside of slow ,spongie greens - great for approaches , not so much putting.
Not much signage as you enter, so make sure you don’t wander into the “Members” area and get stiffly redirected by staff.

Best value in vegas
Played every public course in vegas and this one takes the cake as best value. The condition was incredible, and for a $53 local rate it can't be beat.

Wet from night before rain but still awesome!
The course was wet from the day before and night rain. Even with that it was a great course. We will play this course again next time were in Vegas area.

Monday Afternoon Rpund
Played late Monday afternoon. The course was wide open at first. Half way through the front 9 the course began to back up. I had no place to go so it was a big deal. The fairways and green were in great shape. Fairway rough was long. Greens were smooth and fast. The bunkers needed some maintenance due to rain had packed it down. In either case I would play the course again.

Great Public Course
Very good lush grass to be found here which is uncommon for Las Vegas public courses

Tee Boxes need work.
Absolutely beautiful course. Not a course that can be walked though due to extremely long distances between holes. Course was in great shape for being in the desert. Tee boxes were the only disappointing thing about it. They were beaten up pretty badly and were uneven. It was hard to find a level spot to stand on about half of the tee boxes.

Basic Golf - Nothing else
The corse was very basic. Design was fine but poorly maintained. More like a municipal golf course. Not worth the money. Not all is lost because if they put some effort into grooming the course and straightening things a bit it might be a good take. Not now though.
