Arroyo Golf Club

AGAIN, As a newer Local West Summerlin Resident, I had to check out "Siena's Sister Club" to see what its all about.

Good change of pace course, not long, but interesting layout and challenging risk reward holes. Tee boxes above average, fairways were nice, greens good, but several with pitted ball marks. Nice weather , staff a bit overwhelmed in the proshop, took us a while to check in, but friendly ( and dealing with, phones, checkins, and purchases at a slower pace.

The Cons: We had big problems with our Golf Cart S ( 3 ). About the 8th hole, our #1 cart died, replacement took about 10 minutes, but we had so much "Stuff" in the original, transferring took a while. About 12th hole, same thing, so 15 minutes later we departed in Cart #3. Didn't they get us a " freshly charged cart??? No one wants to deal with this Twice. Lo and behold, Cart #3 was dying slowly, going down Hole 17, so we Stuffed our bags, and HUFFED it for the remaining hole and a half. A staff member approached me on Hole 18, noticing me ( AGAIN!) carring my Full-Cart Bag by the grab strap ( No Shoulder Strap was on this 55 Llbs. monster, since I always, well usually, " Cart it . ")

The very young kid appeared sorry 4 me and suggested I request a " RAIN CHECK " for a future round, which sounded " FAIR ' considering the inconvenience.

When asked who to see in the Proshop, he cautioned, " They may no longer have it open !" ' Do ask " ???? " in the Main Club House. No one by that name there, no Rain Check, a LONG sweaty, 5 hour plus round, finished in darkness.

Oh, well, Course, a 7.5, Staff, ( nice ), but a 6, for bad cart selections, lol, and recommend, sure, since I do live on Siena Golf Course, but the carts, a zero, lol.

R A I N C H E C K, G U Y S. ? ? ? for 2 players . . . cooperative, but my right arm almost gave out lugging my Cart Bag, accessiries, drinks, etc. There a shoulder strap on it NOW!

Maybe you need an experienced Staff Ranger, Pro Shop Staffer, who won't get flustered when the unusual, and annoying incident occurs? I'm minutes away, lol! Seriously. 3 carts / 1 round? Lol!

Great course in the Las Vegas/Summerlin area. Excellent conditions, with minor exception that the greens are not in the best shape. Too many folks are not fixing divots.

Frost delay was minor. Course is in great condition. Second group out, so pace was awesome. Will be back soon!

One of my favorite courses. The only miss is the greens. Need to get these in shape.

Played on dec 1st dropped the cart off after round drove away 5 minutes after we left we realized that my dad left his Leopold 550 dollar laser which was magnetic to the cart ..I called up literally 10 minutes after I left and the clubhouse said that no one returned it .obviously they have some thief at the cart barn beware totally ridiculous..

YES, the course routing is goofier than a pet raccoon.

YES, sometimes you have to drive a bit between holes.

Have you ever heard anyone say "I won't play a nice course because of the routing." NO.

YES, the course is in great condition, green and lush. Great views and beautiful houses.

YES, the staff is friendly and welcoming.

YES, you will have a great time if you enjoy golf and quit trying to nitpick like some food critic eating at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Just play golf!

Golf course was great once I navigated the ignorance and the guy who got paired with my 3 some refusing to wear a mask. It’s great to post signs about wearing masks but defeats the purpose when 90% of the staff/ patrons aren’t wearing masks. I guess Im a hypocrite for golfing because were are in a pandemic but I take as much precaution as possible ( wear masks, wipe down cart with Lysol, pre pay to avoid going inside) I will be contacting OSHA and they can determine if the mandates are being followed.

Great layout and in great condition compared to other Vegas courses. Frost delay and we had a flight to catch. Scott was so helpful in getting our tome moved up so we could finish the round. Great service. Thank you Scott

Great facility colocated with Red Rock Country Club. Excellent course with great layout even if it’s a bit spread out. Be aware the course does not come back to the clubhouse after 9 holes.

Nice course with a good layout if you don’t mind playing every hole lined with houses. Plenty of “landing” area. Disappointing pace of play due to an outing of some kind...took 4 hours and 40 minutes, waiting on just about every hole.

Starting with the good. The bag drop is staffed and they will take your things and get the cart all set up. The carts have some great amenities like gps, Bluetooth speakers and USB ports. The staff was all very friendly. We saw the drink cart about every 1.5 hours. The course was in good condition. The grass looked great and the fairways and greens were tidy. Bunkers though were shallow and had a lot of rocks.

We started at 1:45 and finished at 7. So roughly 5 hours. Hole 1 we were waiting about 15 min before teeing off. Through the rest of the course we waited about 5 min at each tee box for the group ahead to hit their shots and move out. Horrendous pace of play for a course that sells for about $130 per person.

The course seemed to be designed and constructed as an afterthought to the housing development there. Hole 1 is far away from the club house (0.3 miles on google maps). You’ll play about 3 holes and then you’ll need to drive through some more neighborhoods before you get to the next couple set of holes. At the end of the day you’ll have spent a fair amount of time driving through suburbia.

Overall fun to play, great carts and staff but for slow pace of play and a very residential course I wouldn’t recommend it for $130/person. In my opinion I wouldn’t play it again unless I found it for $40 or less.

This was the first time I played this course based on recommendation by a friend. I must say that the course layout was nice with some challenging but fair holes. Unfortunately, during my round I noticed that the fairways were not in the greatest condition (perhaps aeration in preparation for the fall/winter??) Also, the greens had a few brown spots as well. For the $140 price (non-resident green fee) I guess I expected a lot more. I've played quite a few golf courses in the Las Vegas area that were less expensive and in much better condition. The course should have offered a discounted rate given the course conditions.

Also, this course is definitely NOT walkable. Carts are highly encouraged. There were quite a few holes where the green to the next tee box was a far cart drive. But since our group all had carts, our round took the typical 4-4:30 hrs.

Despite of my comments about course conditions, I am sure when the course is in prime shape it would be a far more enjoyable experience. So I'd give it another play when conditions are better.
