About

At Red Rock Country Club, Arnold Palmer has created an escape from desert golf with a lush green course that forces golfers to think over their shots. As you're thinking, a waterfall could be crashing in the background. There are actually two Palmer courses here, but only The Arroyo is open for public play.

It measures in at 6,883 yards from the back tees and uses dramatic bunkering to set off its holes. The par 4s are particularly inventive, especially the 432-yard 4th. The par-3 seventh gives you great views of The Strip in the distance. The greens consistently run 10-11 on the Stimpmeter and the fairways are designed to funnel shots that are not overly wild back into decent lies.

"The Arroyo Course is what it is -- a playable course with stunning scenery and a smattering of decent golf holes," former TravelGolf.com writer Shane Sharp said. "It won't provide as memorable a round as Sin City's big-name resort courses, but the price is relative. If you're looking for a course to include in your annual Vegas rotation, Arroyo would be a nice addition, considering its conditioning and scenery."

Good for the price

Always kept in great condition, except the bunkers are in meh shake, lots of chunks and Boulder like sand and extremely hard… also the driving range is closed so you have to hit into a net and that’s tough to gauge how you’re hitting it that day. Over all solid course definitely recommend!

Nice course

Great course, wish I was notified ahead of booking that the driving range is closed until October. Some bunkers need more sand but that’s the only negative.

Great Time

Great experience with friendly staff. Course was in really good condition. I liked the layout and having to drive a bit of a distance to get from one hole to another. Will be back after the summer.

Why haven't I played here before?

As an 11 year Vegas resident I never made it out to this very nice facility, and I'm not sure why. If I was paying the visitor rate I might walk away disappointed, but for us locals the price is definitely right. I can't think of one thing on the course today that wasn't in good condition, except for my golf swing, and I'll go back with no hesitation.

Brilliant Course

I like Arroyo as a fun course, great condition, awesome location. Good value for the money. My only complaint from the last time I played was that it seemed as though maybe there was an event the day before and people hadn’t fixed their pitch marks on the green but the pins had been moved to fresher parts of the green so I didn’t have any major issues with them, I just fixed the ones in my line before putting.

Bad staff and greens going bad!

I want to give this place 5 stars but just can’t! Love the course set up, very player friendly, but the staff and the conditions were borderline poor! The range attendant was just flat out rude, not the members side but the non-member side. I asked if we’d be notified of of start time to head to the first, and she laughed at me and said NO! She was there the whole time, but no help at all! I asked who we were paired with and she refused to tell us! Why? She said they were there too, but wouldn’t tell us. Just poor. The course is playable right now, but give it a month and it’ll be completely brown. Already seeing signs of that on the greens now in April! This place will be unplayable by June!
