Arroyo Golf Club
About
At Red Rock Country Club, Arnold Palmer has created an escape from desert golf with a lush green course that forces golfers to think over their shots. As you're thinking, a waterfall could be crashing in the background. There are actually two Palmer courses here, but only The Arroyo is open for public play.
It measures in at 6,883 yards from the back tees and uses dramatic bunkering to set off its holes. The par 4s are particularly inventive, especially the 432-yard 4th. The par-3 seventh gives you great views of The Strip in the distance. The greens consistently run 10-11 on the Stimpmeter and the fairways are designed to funnel shots that are not overly wild back into decent lies.
"The Arroyo Course is what it is -- a playable course with stunning scenery and a smattering of decent golf holes," former TravelGolf.com writer Shane Sharp said. "It won't provide as memorable a round as Sin City's big-name resort courses, but the price is relative. If you're looking for a course to include in your annual Vegas rotation, Arroyo would be a nice addition, considering its conditioning and scenery."

Jewel of west
Great course was in fine condition greens hard to read wasn’t very consistent could have been the weather, it was the first 100 degree day of the season. Staff was friendly and had cart filled and ready. Great for the $$$. Will be back soon
We're glad to hear it! Thanks for the 4-star review, be sure to book another round with us soon.
Thanks for the 4-star review!
Worst first impression
Had a tee time at 12:15 today. Showed up about 1 1/2 hours early to warm up and get ready. Upon arrival I knew something wasnt right. There was nobody at the bag drop , no golfers around , no one. I walked around the back of the clubhouse to finally see 1 person since parking. I then walked in the clubhouse and there was nobody behind the counter. As if the whole course was closed. A few minutes pass as I wait , then someone comes in asking if he could help me. I proceed to check in. He says the driving range is closed and that if I wanted to go down the road to another course to hit I can. Not becoming of a top notch course to ask me to leave. I cancelled my tee time and wont be back. Lack of apparent staff and no range makes this course 2 stars.
Thanks for the 5-star review!
Must play
Love this course. Overall conditions were excellent along with the pace of play. Staff was super friendly. I will play this course again.
Hi Mike, thanks for the 5-star review! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Love this Course
I have played this course a good number of times this year ... they finally cut the rough and now the course conditions are near perfect ... the rough is green and thick and presnets a challenge but you can find your ball without a problem.. the greens are in great shape and run fast down grain (away from the westerly mountains) and at a moderate pace into the grain ... traps have plenty of sand and the fairways are well grassed ... I play many of the local courses and this is my favorite when it comes to excellent value, a challenging round and members who do not mind letting faster groups play through
We're glad to hear you enjoyed your round at Arroyo, Rat King. Be sure to book another round with us soon!
Hi rermeling, we're sorry to see your round at Arroyo was anything less than 5 stars. Please give us a call at (702) 258-2300, we'd like to hear about your experience and figure out how we can make things right.

Thanks for the 4-star review, RB! We hope to see you again soon.
Nice layout; good condition; but CUT THE DANG ROUGH
So, I have played this course a number of times and it is challenging and usually in good condition ; but the rough has gotten ridiculous the last few times I have played it... you end up spending a ridiculous amount of time looking for your ball that is barely out of the fairway; pros have spotters to find their ball in high rough; but amateurs like me do not .. I use a brigh yellow ProV1 and end up losing 1 or 2 during 18 holes there just because the dang rough is 3 plus inches high... i don't mind the challenge of hitting out of the rough and on this round from the blacks shot 77 ... but my playing partner and i are about out of patience with the rough length.. it just doesn't make any sense for daily play... that said, the staff is wonderful, particularly Marilesa who is sometimes the cart firl and sometimes the bartender... she is so kind and attentive ... and the cart guys rock too...
We appreciate your honesty, Tim. Thanks for taking time to leave us a review. Congrats on the 77, definitely not an easy feat from the black tees!
Such a great time!!
This was our Easter treat....and it truly was a treat!! Friendly staff! Beautiful fairways. Greens were punched and sandy, but we survived! :-) Will return!!
We're glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Arroyo, Meg! We hope to see you again soon.
Good course
Played this course for the first time, fairways and greens were good, tee boxes were a bit rough but no problem in playing. It was a good course and I would recommend it to any other player who wants to try other courses in the LV area.
Hi Ram, thanks for the 4-star review! Come see us again soon.
Gorgeous Views, Fun Course!
First of all, I can’t wait to play here again! I have NO IDEA why there have been a few bad reviews-especially some of the most recent ones! We decided to come out last minute to play with friends (another twosome), and the pro shop employee was SO nice, even though there was a single that booked right after our pals, he was able to put the four of us together, and even charged us the same GREAT rate they had! The course was in great shape, although the fairways were a little long in grass length-must have seeded recently and were letting the new grass grow out a bit. This is the first time we’ve encountered TRUE rough this year-whew! It was pretty rough rough! The course is quite spread out, and yes, one drives quite a bit to reach the first tee. I think many of the residents come out to play daily, as there were several carts that simply drove along, skipping holes as they pleased, I would have preferred NOT to have to wait for folks to drive past to get to a different hole-this went on the whole round. We never saw a course Marshall, perhaps one would prevent folks from being so rude to other players. This IS a public course, NOT a private neighborhood playground. We did see a beverage cart at least three times, has to be the BEST-STOCKED variety of drinks/snacks-both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options abounded. We did see some ball marks on the greens, and again; a course Marshall (or two) could have been monitoring to see that players followed the rules/etiquette of the game-but this would be about our only complaint. Beautiful course, we can’t wait to play there again! Don’t let those other reviews convince you not to play Arroyo!!
We appreciate you taking the time to review us on Golf Advisor, Natasha. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Arroyo. Hope to see you again soon!
We're sorry to see your experience at Arroyo left something to be desired. If you'd like to speak to someone in the Pro Shop, please give us a call at (702) 258-2300.
Nothing special but ok
We got a special rate for two day booking which was good because the course is not worth the full rack rate. Range balls are included in the rate so that was nice.
The course was ok for late March. Fairways were green and rough was thick. Greens have ball
marks everywhere. They should pass out free repair tools to every player.
The layout of the course is odd You don’t ever get near the clubhouse again after hole #7 but there are water jugs and bathrooms around the course. Only saw the beverage cart one time in the entire 18 holes.
Finished at 6:45 and the clubhouse bar was already closed so couldn’t have a beer.
Hi Nancy, we appreciate the honest review. We're working hard to ensure ideal playing conditions for all our guests. Thanks for choosing Arroyo GC, we hope to see you again soon!
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Thanks for the four stars!
Good value and enjoyable course
I’ve played here several times on golf trips and will continue to play the course. The course has a good variety of holes and has been in good shape. Was surprised to see the poor review recently because that hasn’t been my experience. The staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful. Only complaint was that the cart attendant was heavily puffing in a cigarette while I was unloading my stuff from the cart and I hate cigarette smoke. Being early Spring, there are some areas of the course that need a little work, but overall this is a very good value in Vegas golf. I’ll continue to play at Arroyo.
We appreciate the 5-star rating and thorough review. Thanks for choosing Arroyo, be sure to book another round with us soon!
Great fairways, slow pace of play
The fairways are exceptional right now. The greens were ok (soft enough to hold approach shots, bumpy in only a few spots) and were fine to play on. The round took 4:50 to play. I was told the usual round is 4:30. Just don’t expect anything faster and enjoy it.
Let us first say that we are so glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. We work hard to create a seamless experience with so you can focus on enjoying yourself and let us do the rest. We also want to thank you for your honest and constructive criticism regarding the greens. Your comments are presented in a way we can incorporate them into actual change. Thank you for visiting and playing at Arroyo Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon!
