About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Poorly maintained
Too many pitch marks. Too many poorly maintained areas. Some poor fairways.
Inconsistent sand traps. Practice golf balls Too old. Indoor Food service poor. Golf course is not a well maintained course. Obviously not enough maintenance workers. Once desirable, now more like a C+ level public course.
Eagle Ridge
Good greens- fast and true-some tee boxes needed help along of course with the animal issues of some fairways - no place for comfortable (inside) 19th hole beverage.
Not a fan of hitting of mats to warm up either

I love Eagle Ridge. Tough layout and tough greens. Patrick in the pro shop is top notch. I love going there to play and hit some balls. I highly recommend
Too poor condition, plus additional charge. No value
They charge you $10 per player additionally for the reason for the course construction. Even though you fully paid already through Golf now.
Course condition is poor and green is not well maintained.
No worth at all.
Great layout
Great layout and views, greens were in excellent condition. Front nine fairways were in better shape than the back nine. Back nine fairways could use some work in some spots Overall great course. Will go back when I. Area
Solid Track
Eagle Ridge has gone through some major and positive renovations. For starters the course has reduce the number and sizes of many traps making it a much fairer course.
The fairways are in great shape and the greens continue to challenge the best putters, but the large greens offer great opportunities for amazing putts.
An early start will get you around in 4jrs or even less.
You will need all your clubs and each hole has its own risk reward, but at the end of the day it only makes you better.
I have been playing Eagle Ridge for over 3 years now and play there 3 times a week. There are serious discounts for different memberships which I have done.
Additional $9 charge
Must stop additional $9 charge and clean up the course
Stop the resource recovery fee!
I have played Eagle Ridge probably dozens of times in the past few years. I love the course. You have great staff. Please stop the resource recovery fee and I will come back. Thanks

Slow play
Slow play can be a problem here but can be solved by sending a marshal out to pick up the slow players.

Clean up of course
They could d a better job of maintenance of entire course from tee box and to clean up around the fairways.

Very poor Business decision
Course and conditions were fine, but I will not play there again because of ridiculous $9 fee they add AFTER you get there. I booked on-line and when I checked-in, the “less than friendly” counter guy told me about the $9 “fertilizer “ fee. What???! Fertilizer is part of the Cost of Doing Business!
If they need this fee, it should be included in the advertised price of the round and then the public can decide if they want to play or not. But to try to slide this in at the Pro shop is horrible business and will lose customers. Several of my golfing buddies feel the same way.

Beautiful, challenging course
Beautiful views this time of the year. Fairways, bunkers and greens are in great shape. Rough was a bit long which made it more challenging than usual. Still, one of our favorite courses.

Not going back
well after playing and being so disappointed i decided to leave review. Then I saw ALL the prior negative feedback and feel like they dont care anyway. and the course shows it too.The layout is nice but the condition is very poor. from tees, and fairways in worse shape than most bay area public courses (not even close). and care of the greens says it all about " the course doesnt care so the players dont care".
this is a $38 per round value - not includding the slimey $9 charge they add on when you check in ... the priority is to take your money. period.
