About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Good pace and greens
Fairways are under repair on 7 holes. Discount golf makes this a nice choice. Carts are comfortable. Staff is pleasant.

Poor condtions
It's a beautiful site and it looks like the kind of place where you're going to experience a beautiful course, well-maintained. NOT! It is a beautiful course and the rate to play there is reasonable, but up there. For that money, you'd expect well-maintained conditions. But, no. Lots of areas where it was roped off, places where it was muddy, and places where it was dried out and where grass and dirt mixed together to make hitting the next shot more than challenging. I will not bother to pay $80 (the discounted price) to play there again.

5:30 round, on a Thursday… can’t believe it
Honestly, the course condition was nice, but when you have just random bare dirt spots, that of course I wind up in, it can affect the overall condition. Secondly, tournament or not, it was no PGA qualifier or anything, there needs to be a marshal, I watched a gentleman, 30 yard putt for 8, on a par 3, he lines it up from opposite side of the hole, then takes 5 practice putting swings, pebble beach has faster rounds than here.

Bad Bad Shape.
This course has a good layout that is challenging. The problem now is the condition of the course. HORRIBLE! I don’t know how management sleeps at night charging $113 for a round under the current conditions.

Not worth $73 for the twilight rate
Tee boxes are terrible and not much grass left.
They are not flat at all.
Many dirt patches in the fairways and around greens.
$73 for this condition is a rip-off.
I'll never go back to this course.
It should've been around $45 for this condition.

Great course bad condition
I have plays this course quite a few times and it’s gradually becoming worse condition. Got the price, it was not worth it. Greens were ok but fairways were dry and lots of holes. With that said the course itself is well laid out but just not worth over $100 in this condition.

Nice Course
ERGC is nice tract set in a beautiful gated community on the south side of Gilroy approximately 15 minutes from Morgan Hill. The clubhouse, staff, and snack bar are excellent. The practice area is a little neglected and small but adequate for warming up prior to your round. The course has a fun layout requiring some well placed tee shots but not drastically difficult due to the relatively generous fairways. There are several tee boxes to choose from making the course playable for a wider range of golfers. The fairways could be better groomed and the greens a little faster, but regardless are very playable. The pace of play was good, especially for a weekend. My foursome was able to finish by 3:00pm with a 11:00am start. Not bad for a Sunday. I would definitely play again.

Awesome Course in Mediocre Condition
I have played this course many times over the years because of its spectacular variety of challenging and scenic holes. However, the condition is always rough (although the finally got the bunkers fixed). You'll see loads of dead or dying foliage along the fairways, dirt patches in the fairways (I chipped off a small dirt mound ten feet from the 17th green), and this time I noticed someone is filling holes on the greens with a different variety of grass that doesn't match - many were pockmarked with what almost looked like clover. (also, the bathroom next to the lunch window looks like it could be from a gas station)
This course could be one of the absolute best around with some investment, but it always seems to feel like they are letting it go. Yet they still charge premium course green fees.

Rewards program not with the money
The less than "FAIR" course conditions do not warrant me paying an additional $10 a round. Plus increased green fees. Rewards program also dropped range balls as a benefit.. New owner is trying to get players to pay for refurbishing course

Course was in terrible shape. Tee boxes had knee high weeds, fairways either bare patches or mud puddles, greens had so many ball marks it was like a pachinko machine. Will not go back unless major upgrades to course maintenance are made.

Great Course
For years this has been a very nice course to play, somewhat challenging but the greens are great. We usually play early and lately the pace of play has been great, finishing in under 4 hours.

Great course and great staff!
This is my first time playing at this course. I enjoyed not only the excellent course layout and maintenance, but also the friendly and professional staff. The day I played was really hot and my body was dehydrated, they brought ice water and allowed me to recover to normal, so I can finish my 18 holes. They have one special staff member who drives around the course to make sure you are doing well and I absolutely highly recommend this place to any golfer who likes a serene and beautiful golf experience!
