About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Father’s Day golf
The course was overall ok, but many of the greens were damaged whereby not true. Didn’t feel good about spending $100 for greens in this shape.
Eagle ridge
Fairways were very ugly. Multiple different types of grasses. Uneven mowing. Greens had powa that was much taller than the bent grass.

Hidden Charges!
Course charge and addition $9 "resource fee per person on top of the pre-paid Golf Now green fees. Shady practice by Eagle Ridge to gouge more money from golfers. Bar closed at 4:00 PM to support a wedding party.

In need of some TLC again
I enjoy playing this course, always a challenge. However, it seems that the upkeep is hit and miss. Also, even with the Hot Deal, there is an additional $9 fee . Not sure why they just don’t include it in the price.

Something has changed
The course has not been taken care off. Dirt on fairways and crabgrass all over. I was told there is a new greenskeeper. But for now it is like a fancy cow pasture. Plus there is an extra 9$ fee at the course. I have never seen that.

$9 fees at checkin !!
Course is in good shape but the $9 fee that they are charging you at checkin is a turnoff. I will not be coming back to play because of that alone

Not worth the money
The course is in poor shape and is not worth the money. They are charging an extra $9 for some reason. I will not play here again. There are other nice courses near that charge far less.

Weeds Weeds Weeds
If you like weeds you will love this course. Weeds in the sand traps, weeds in the fairways and they even have weeds on the tee boxes. So disappointed. This used to be a great course but the conditions are horrible. Pluss they charge you a $9.00 booking fee.

Course improvements
Eagle ridge is a Great Track. Country setting, interesting looks and unique golf holes. But the course is getting away from the maintenance staff because of a wall to Wall green irrigation system. Reccomended that eagle ridge shrink their irrigation footprint and switch to a Desert, naturalist style Single line irrigation irrigation system. Eagle ridge will save water and encourage their maintenance staff to prioritize fairways and greens and NOT the peripherals of the property.

Enjoyed it
Got a reservation on GolfNow. Did not mind paying extra $9 at check in for the resource recovery fee. The course was in an excellent shape. I enjoy playing here because I get to use all my clubs. Shot accuracy rewards you. I love 8th and 9th. They are tucked into the wooded hills with a stream still running. I saw a herd of deers grazing in the hill. The air feels absolutely clean and refreshing.

Great Round!
Has an 11:30 tee time, got there early and was able to go out by myself. Played the first 9 holes in 1.5 hrs. Back nine is tough but well worth it. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Very tough back 9
Beautiful but very difficult course.
FRONT NINE: was interesting, a lot of challengers. Course and greens were in good shape. The rough was tough, as the grass, for the most part, was kept at around 5 inches. For us, that meant a lot of time looking for the ball if it went off the fairway.
BACK NINE: was very difficult. Almost no flat lies, always on a slope....and the slope could be in any direction to the hole. A lot of steep slopes. Played with a young scratch golfer. He was not feeling well, so quit at the turn. In parting he said he didn't think he was missing much because the back nine is so difficult...even for him.
In conclusion, this course is good for 15 or under handicappers. Otherwise it can be very frustrating.
