Eagle Ridge Golf Club

I could not play. My son became sick the night before. I asked for a cancellation so I could get my money back and make a new reservation for later in the week and was denied. Will be calling and booking through the pro shops for now on. They will at least credit for later in the week!!!

First of all you can’t judge with the recent storms over the last several weeks. Every golf course sustained damages. So the golf course considering the weather was in fair condition. Many areas wiped out from rain.

The pro sho staff was great and the course was wide open do to the rain.

The Golf situation was good. The club house if you will, was not open and having lunch was not an option. Seems that there is yet another transition going on at this facility. A lot of inconsistencies. They are trying to present this facility as a “country club” environment however, you get that a private clubs and we know this.

Example of this complaint; I was in the MENS locker room/ restroom using a urinal and in walks in unannounced a female showing a couple( husband & wife) the locker room!!!! She was trying to sell them on the concept of this PUBLIC golf course is semi private…it’s public and never mind me using the restroom. She didn’t had the decency to excuse herself at all and walked through like she was touring a home. Something’s you just don’t do! This is one of those. I don’t understand the whole public course trying to sell themselves as semi private. Either you private OR you’re not! I most likely will not return until the course is in better shape..hopefully that consistency will maintenance the path they are on.

I got a hot deal and then they charged a $9.00 fee in addition. They said it was posted on the site. So my $56 hot deal was actually $70. I'll never play there again just on principle.

Eagle ridge is a beautiful track but managment either doesn't have the staff or motivation to keep the course in resort quality. Reccomend replacing the current irrigation system with a preserve desert style Single line targetted irrigation to shrink the irrigation footprint and return the course to Resort quality. Eagle ridge is failing at there Wall to Wall green irrigation attempt.

No words this golf course have some awesome calmness i get so blessed and relaxed to play here again again again.......

Eagle ridge is a beautiful track doesn't have the staff or motivation to maintain the course. I reccomend renovating the irrigation system and transform the course to a desert course with limited targetted irrigation. The current Wall to Wall green irrigation system is a failed endeavor and should be abandoned for a preserve desert style Single line irrigation system.

I really like the course. Very challenging and have mostly had great experiences here. Yesterday was not one of those days. There was a frost delay so play did not start on time, but there’s were too many people crammed into the times that were available. That combined with slow players of lesser ability meant for a lot of waiting. Played the first 3 holes in 65 minutes ( yes, that is a 6.5 hour round). Tried skipping ahead and found a gap on the 8th tee. Played 8 and 9 OK. When we arrived at the 10th tee there was a group on the green and one 100 yards off of the tee looking for balls. That was enough for us for the day and we left. The topper was that as of 1/1/23 the course was charging everyone an extra $9 per player for “course maintenance recovery” fees payable at the course. No mention of this on Tee Off/GolfNow. That note should be added online. We will play this course again, but not until at least April to minimize chance of frost delay and have more time after daylight savings begins. This is a nice layout but always in disrepair. Now they’re charging a fee? Play Coyote or even Santa Theresa or gilroy. Much better Courses and value.

Pre-paid person have to pay extra $9 at the course.

When I checked in for my pre-paid tee time from Golfnow I was politely asked to pay an additional $9 fee for "course maintenance." I asked about it and was told it was because costs had gone up. "Course maintenance," isn't that the same thing as green fees? I play Eagle Ridge three or four times a year. It's a very challenging course with a great variety of holes. But it is almost always in rough condition. For years the bunkers were under construction, now it seems half the fairways are. One par 5 has been cut in almost half for a while now so you play it as a par 4.

This course could be a real jewel, in good condition it could be one of the best in Santa Clara County, but there is always some type of excuse for why it's in shabby condition, and now they're charging add-on fees that I have never paid anywhere else.

I have played Eagle Ridge a number of times and generally find it to be a challenging but fair course. On this particular occasion, my partner and I went out on the second dry day after 3 weeks of torrential rain. The course did not play well. Water hazards that did not exist before suddenly became major obstacles. The ground was muddy and, therefore, the fairways had not been mowed. So, even balls hit right down the center of the fairway often became lost. Sometimes they were found laying in the grass. Sometimes they were plugged in the mud. Some times they just weren't findable.

Don't get me wrong. This is a great course. Just play it in the late spring, summer or fall. Only play it in the winter during a drought!

We try to play here when possible. Played after lots of rain and had a great time. Course was empty and weather held up. Would love to see them run more specials via Golfnow or senior specials?

Had been coming back here many times. However, this is the 1st time course initiated a ‘resource recovery fee’ during check in? This fee should have been included when I booked instead of charging it on the spot which makes us feeling blackmailed!

This needs to be upfront or we’ll not go back again.
