About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Surprise fees
Played this course dozens of times. Great layout fun usually slow play. Main complaint is being surprised by an additional $18 fee for infrastructure. Golfnow should disclose this additional fee BEFORE booking the round. The fee definitely affects my choice in the future
Got charged for the round and the course was closed
So I booked this round on Golf Now, but the course was closed due to excessive rain the previous days. I was disappointed because I drove an hour each way to play this course and I was turned away. I hope I get my money back from the round and compensated for the drive time and gasoline spent. I would have been ok with the course being closed due to weather conditions, but it would have been great to get a “heads up” before I left the house…

Cost of playing to high. Can play courses of similar quality for less without traveling 20 miles..

Cost of playing tp high. Other Courses are of better value. .
Not worth it
Poor conditions for fairways greens and tees. Otherwise ok
Staff were indifferent to golfers. Rack rate is a joke.

Terrible condition.
This course has a great layout but for some reason they refuse to maintain it. Horrible fairways and tees.
Maybe to storms will improve things.

Great course
Every year I take a group of friends on a golf outing during the summer. We stay at the ridgemark resort and play at all the areas courses. Eagle ridge has always been on our list of preferred locations. The price is right, we are well received, and the course is moderately challenging.. I will continue my support of this great venue and will always cherish my experiences shared with 8 golf buddies.
Divorce papers served
I've played this course probably more than 400 times since they opened. The layout is great and so is the staff, but for the amount they charge with something always in need of attention for many years now is too high.
The icing on the cake is the $9 'Resource Recovery Fee' Really? I'm not having that. The reason is just lame. I'm out.

The course design is fun, but the grass is not properly maintained, so the out course is poor at golf because the ground is muddy.

Course needs some maintenance
Tee boxes have lots of unfilled divots and bare spot. Fairways have lots of ground under repairs and bare spots, green condition is also deteriorating. While bunkers have new sands, the sands are very fine and there are lots of small rocks in the sands.

Love Eagle Ridge
I love Eagle Ridge. The staff is always friendly and the course is great. I always go up there a couple times a week either to hit a bucket or play. I wish I could get up there more often but unfortunately I have to work. Great facility!

Great Course in Below Average Condition
I have played this course numerous times over the years and love the views, layout, and challenge. But the course condition is often disappointing and was especially bad this last time. Many fairways have huge dirt patches with ground under repair (some freshly seeded) that isn't labeled as such. There are areas that are overgrown and just poorly cared for. It's a shame because this should be a Country Club quality course, it's that good of a layout. But be prepared to play winter rules regardless of the weather.

Bad tee boxes and grounds under repair
Be aware, the tee boxes are the worst they have ever been and multiple holes had grounds under repair to the point the hole was not playable. I have played here for years and this is the worst shape I have seen the tee boxes. The course is over priced. $50 a tour is fair not $80-$100.

Hi.
There were just a lot of dead areas/dirt on the fairways. Some of the greens had a little bit of weeds growing on them and the tee boxes weren’t great. Hit from the blue tees and one of them had all dirt and no grass. Still had a good time, played this course a few years ago and it was in better shape.
