well maintained
I played this course before and have always done pretty well, the course is in great shape and the greens are perfect when hitting into and putting. The fairways are in awesome shape too. I think paying 3.75 for a Gatorade was a bit much but hey it's a golf course where you expect a little higher cost. I was paired up with a 3 some of ladies but the starter asked if I wanted to join the 2 some in front of my tee time which I did and had a very good time with the guys I played with. The front side seemed to yield a better score than the back for me but all in all was a very good experience. Well done Eagle Ridge......
Meh
Course was ok. But for a $79 fee ($99 non GolfNow), it was in average to poor condition. Even worse, the sand traps were all hard pan. Ridiculous that they can't keep the traps just a little fluffy. Lame.
Plus...we called in at the 9th hole to have sandwiches ready, and when we got to the snack bar/shop, none of our food was ready, which resulted in our foursome slowing down the pace of play and backing up a couple of golfers behind us.
Overall, a somewhat poor to average experience.
One of the Best
With more sand in some of the bunkers, it'd be perfect all the way around (even the range).
Lots of memorable holes.
Rivals Callippe Preserve for best layout, condition, and value in Bay Area.
In great shape
The course is in fine conditions green coming around and always in good shape. The only grape is no cart lady ? Really !! And when we with the snack bar closed and course full of people? So bring food or you be hungry. And I play here alot and it's always like this
Good course-tough
Good course/challenging but fun
Six hours on a Thursday Morning
The Course condition was great. The greens were in good condition. The layout was interesting. The pace of play was TERRIBLE. Seriously. My tee time was 0800 and I finished at 1400 on a Thursday. No marshals and no starter really (he was there when I checked in for the driving range and then I never saw him again). I almost didn't book the course because of previous reviews about pace of play and i like to feel that I am somewhat reasonable but 6 hours on a Thursday morning is silly.
The course was in very good condition
Don't expect much from the staff. The Pro Shop staff just took our names and that was it. No Starter for the 1st tee and no announcement from the Pro Shop on when to begin our round. The only comment we received from the Marshal was that he was looking for the individual that hit a ball on the road and broke a window (not us). After our round, we went into the bar/restaurant at 4:00 and the individual said the kitchen was closed, we could eat at the snack shack. We decided to leave and eat at a sports bar down the road. The course itself was in very good condition (sand traps could use some sand) and the greens were in very good shape.
Fun Course
This course is fantastic! You have to be very accurate. If you're not you will get into trouble fast. Absolutely gorgeous course.
Fun course
This was the 2nd time I played Eagle Ridge and even though I didn't play as well as the first time I had just as much fun. Eagle Ridge is tight course, narrow fairways, some blind tee shots, lot's of risk reward with good fast greens. Highly recommended
Excellent test and value
This is a challenge layout. Multi-level greens are tricky as well. Conditions were ideal the weekend we played. Need to play this course a couple of times to really get comfortable with the layout and greens. Par 3 # 13 is one of the most challenging hole on the course.
bunkers
the bunkers are in sad shape. hardly any sand in them with small pebbles mixed in. fill them up with more sand and that should correct the problem.
Great deal.
I was late to my tee time and the starter squeezed me in right away. I never had to wait at a tee box. Thank you Eagle Ridge.
poor bunker maintenece
For a course that has as many sandtrap/bunkers they are very poorly maintained. Hitting out of the bunkers was like hitting out of hard pan. Absolutely no sand in them. Course conditions was also very poor. Grass had been cut and left to dry in place so finding your ball was frustrating.
Friday Foursome
Tee time was 1:20 pm and there were 3 groups that started in front of us. Which by only the 2nd hole had us log jammed for the next 4 holes. Play was slow but weather was decent with a light cloud cover and not to hot. The course was in good shape and I felt the pin placement today was challenging! I love playing this course, it's always fun ...
Great course for the money...
From T to green in a great shape !!...greens are so smooth and pure...GREAT EXPERIENCE as always !!...l can play there every w-end if l could . Overall great course in great great shape !! I highly recommend it.

Challenging
Great place to play very challenging great scenery if they say the course is wet it still plays nice
Visually stunning, creative, challenging, fair
Expensive for a public course, but totally worth it! Every single hole on this course is a visual stunner! And each hole is so well laid out that it is challenging but fair. I highly recommend this course, it's one of the best I've played in California.
Not a good time to play Eagle Ridge right now
Normally, Eagle Ridge is one of my favorite courses in the Bay Area. When we played Monday, the course is undergoing repairs which make golf not fun to play there. Fairways are being re-done. Some are ground under repair. Hope it'll get better soon.
Typically a good course
Very slow round. 5 hours for 15 holes. Staff was nice. Food was fine. Just way too long. Waiting between every shot for 15 minutes is tough.
Beautiful Course
This course is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. We got behind a foursome and it slowed our pace some but what a way to enjoy waiting. Beautiful course and lovely homes. We did find the course challenging. Lots of sand traps that are very deep with steep edges.
