Beautiful Course
This course is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. We got behind a foursome and it slowed our pace some but what a way to enjoy waiting. Beautiful course and lovely homes. We did find the course challenging. Lots of sand traps that are very deep with steep edges.
Up for a challange
I have played this course several times and it is always a nice challenge, yesterday was no different with a strong swirling wind that made several shirts very interesting. Love it.
Bunkers with grass
Bunkers not kept up. Way too many anyway and are too steep. Course requires precision shots. Staff great. Greens in great shape.
Great course for the money
Good price from golf now a little dry but expected because of the drought.
Good course design.
An hour away but it's worth coming here. Friendly staff. Good course design. Similar to Black Horse in Seaside but more relaxing. Nice clean restrooms. Will definitely come back.
Great golf, great setting
I truly enjoyed bringing my group to eagle ridge and will come again. The staff is great and very accommodating. You can't beat the weather.
You have to stick with Golf now for the best deals.
Very beautiful setting.
Relentless challenge. You play here, you get better!
This is my favorite course in the South Bay. It gives you a challenge all the way to the end, never overcrowded, the clubhouse is beautiful, and you are very far from freeway or city noise. My only complaint about this course is the bunker conditions, they need to be redone with new sand. The bunkers are beautifuly designed and come into play often so redoing them would serve this remarkable course well and would be in the golfer's best interest.
A Great Location
Eagle Ridge GC is located in the foothills west of Gilroy. Although there are quite large houses around the course, they don’t impose on the course. The location and vistas are great. The course uses recycled water so the tees, fairways and greens are is good shape. The fairways are wider than they appear from many of the tees. You do have to think about where to place your shot to get ready for the next shot. The greens and around the greens are greatly undulated so try to get on the correct level of the green. The greens are fast but roll true.
I was only in one bunker all day, a fairway bunker, and found the sand to be shallow and rather hard. This is what other reviewers have written recently.
We were a twosome and zoomed around the course since it was not busy. However, late in the round we got behind a very, very slow foursome who would not let us through. Hence, my "average" rating for pace of play.
Overall, it was a great day. It helps to play this course a few times to learn where the hidden adventures are and where to place your shots.
The hot deal made it affordable.
Nice Track
Overall great day! The course wasn't crowded, cart girl made numerous rounds! Good pastrami sandwich at the turn! Only recommendation or warning is to NOT hit into the bunkers, the bunkers are very crusty almost like playing out of caliche (sp)! Keep in the fairway as always and you'll have a good time!
Enjoyed the course but not the pro shop staff
We were hassled upon arrival by the pro shop staff about being slightly late due to horrible traffic. Stuart's customer service was terrible; no warmth or friendliness at all. Even thought he was trying to deter us from coming back. Turns out they were running about three groups behind anyway. Restaurant staff was nice, food was average and bartender did a good job. Enjoyed the course, it plays tough for those who spray it off the tee.
Not a member bad service
Overall course is great, but the guy checking us in was not so great. Appeared if you were not a member you didn't get same attention. There were 2 guys behind the counter and both were the same, a third gentleman who was also in pro the pro shop must have realized how bad the guy behind the counter was, actually came out and was really nice to us, told us where all the rest rooms were and where we can get water.
Great value
My friends and I were able to get on the course for $34.50 thanks to a hot deal. That is a steal for the course. It was in is in great shape from tee box to green. The only exception was the bunkers. Some of them are like hitting out of hard pan!
Exceptional value
Very much enjoyed eagle ridge course and the cost was extremely fair at $60. Great condition, challenging layout. Not your grip and rip course. Interesting holes, beautiful course, pace was perfect...No waiting or pressing from other players. One disappointment was that we showed up for early morning tee time and wanted to hit balls...only to find the driving range closed until 8:30. Not sure if that is normal or it was just that day. I got the impression the way the attendant answered is that it normally doesn't open until later. I would check if you plan on teeing off early

Great conditions at Eagle Ridge - yes... in June
Although California is in a drought, the folks at Eagle Ridge are able to provide a great golfing experience at a good price/value.
The greens are in great shape, the fairways are well manicured, and the rough is "just rough enough" to make Eagle Ridge a challenging course.
We played from the blues with a good group of golfers who all felt they got their money's worth.
If you are looking for a local course in the San Jose area, give Eagle Ridge a try. You won't be disappointed.
Nice Course
Nice course in great shape, pace of play good...friendly staff
Great day. Fun and challenging course.
Everyone at the course was very friendly. Made it a great =setting. Course is in good shape. Very hard to score low at this course for an average golfer as pin placement and fast greens made for challenging green play. Plenty of course obstacles to keep you honest. Love this course. One of my favorites. Always fun to play!
Eagle Ridge
Very nice golf course. Great staff and in good condition. Very challenging especially the first time you play it.
