A lot of forced carries.
First time playing the course. I played with someone that has played the course many times, glad I did. Playing this course for the first time without some knowledge is tough. A lot of forced carries so you have to know where to lay up. The only problem was the fairways were really wet so you weren't getting any roll. Greens were in great shape, bunkers were also in great shape. As I said the only problem were the fairways. Made a mental note for the next time I play the course as I will play it again.
Disappointed On How Bad Course Conditions Have Become
This course was able to justify its cost at one point, but that is no longer the case.
There are weeds growing on about almost all fairways, and there are areas multiple holes that have a lot of moisture - it made for a swampy setting…in the middle of summer- that is confusing to me. The tee boxes were atrocious.
I wish this course was in conditions that justify this price. That was the case at one point, unfortunately that is not the case anymore. Will not be coming here for the remainder of 2024.
Merced player
Expected the fairways to be cut better they and around the approach areas near the greens in bad condition although the greens in good condition, overall quality was good but weeds need to be removed or sprayed I would recommend but for the price it's a hard pick.
Not quite hidden gem!
Love playing here! It can be alternatively busy or not. Varied and challenging holes, feels like you are in the country although overlooking edge of town. Eagles, deer, wild turkeys all around. Homes not really in play or a worry except for maybe 2 holes, still in the main it has wide fairways.
Just recently discovered they have a Senior discount weekdays (maybe excluding Fridays)—extra nice!
I am disappointed in this course weeds growing on the greens and collars.
Nice Course, slow play
Not sure if they let out a 5some or if a 2some and 3some just joined together, but there was a group of 5 that was holding up play from hole 4 through 18. It was so bad, to the point where 3 groups were stacked up on the 13th Tee Box and it was over 100 degrees that day, so that made for a not fun round. Then one of the course workers had the audacity to come to the group I was in on the 18th tee box and accuse us of some bad course actions and we were like, uh, did you talk to that group of 5 that were 3 groups in front of us!?! I think you have us confused with them (I was a single that dropped back to play with a 3some behind me).
Wouldn’t Play again
For the price charged and the course condition, I feel it’s overpriced. This used to be a very nice course, but no more.
Slowly Degrading
Came back a year later because of great layout/challenge, but somebody’s not putting enough money back into it and the grounds keeping is simply deficient. Fix up one hole a day and in 18 days this course could be so much better. For the price, very very sloppy.
