Fun Course
Course is a great value. Worth the drive from Chicago. Course has some great holes.. The par 5s have nice risk/reward opportunities. The staff is friendly & courteous. Nice places inside and outside to have a drink afterwards. Fun place to play.
First class facility
Whisper Creek is a first class course, from the excellent staff, course conditions and friendly nature makes this a pleasure to play.

Well manicured course but…
Course is in great shape but pace of play was horrendous with no help from any Rangers , Round took over 5 hours to complete. Will not be back.
Whisper creek
I HAVE PLAYED AT THIS COURSE SEVERAL TIMES BUT THIS TIME THE PLAY WAS EXTREMELY SLOW FOR A MONDAY. THERE WASN'T A RANGER IN SIGHT TO LET THE NOVICE GROUPS IN FRONT OF US TO PLAY READY GOLF . THIS TURNED INTO A 8 HOLE 2.5 HOUR ROUND WITH MY 2 ADULT SONS INSTEAD OF AN 18 HOLE OUTING WE PLANNED. POOR MANAGEMENT!
NIce....... And Slow......
The course was nice. It was in decent shape. It was nice to see sand in the trap and the traps well taken care of.
There was no cart person, starter or course attendent to provide any assistance once you left the 1/10 tee box. As a result, the course played extremely slow.
Overall, it was enjoyable. Just slowwwww.....

Whisper Creek - First Timer
I played this course for the first time on 8/8 with my brother in-law. From the moment we checked in to pay and starting our round everyone on the staff was extremely friendly. We grabbed a large bucket of balls to hit on the range before our round, which is very nice to hit off grass to work out the kinks. We were originally paired up with another 2-some, but they took the time slot before us which was nice as well. Pace of play was surprisingly good for a Saturday and we rarely had to wait. The course was in great condition, but if you hit your ball into the tall grass just off the rough you can kiss it goodbye. Overall the course was somewhat challenging, but not impossible to score. I'm not a particular fan of the two par 5's that force you to make a lay-up shot, but it's still manageable to get on in 3 shots. Overall great course for the money and I look forward to playing it again!

Worth the Drive Out
Whisper Creek is always a treat. After playing it 3 times over the last two years, I have to say this course is one of the nicest in the area. The fairways couldn't be in better shape. The greens are fast and run true. To be honest, I love everything about the course. Only drawback for me is how far out the course is (30+ minutes from where I live). Strongly recommend Whisper to any player.
Value Play
If you are looking to play one of chicago's premier courses, Whisper Creek isn't that. However if you are searching for a course that offers value for green fees, is in good condition and you are treated well this is a good spot.
Whisper Creek-Good Value
I never played at Whisper Creek. A bit far but located just off the highway. Course was in excellent condition. Lots of hole variety. Did not love the two par 5 holes requiring a "lay up" and a little visually tough to first timers. GPS was hard to read when trying to determine distances for layup. If you are off fairway or short of holes in some areas the is some punishing thick grass to contend with. Would go back and price was very good.
Very challenging
This links course is very challenging with many bunkers to avoid. Also, the par 5's are some of the hardest we have played. It was extremely helpful to have not only the gps system, but also information that tells you how far to the many trouble spots, or layup lengths.

Great Value
Very nice course for the price. Very slow pace on the front nine. Over 2-1/2 hours. No rangers to correct the problem. Some foursomes left after nine and paced picked up considerably. Course was in great shape and is fun to play. Par fives are tricky as you can't hit driver on a couple. Would definitely recommend if pace of play was better.

Whisper Creek Huntley, IL
We played on a Saturday afternoon, 1:30 tee time. It took almost 5 1/2 hours to play. There was no ranger on the course, and no attempt to solve the pace of play. I guess the answer is to play in the AM. In fairness I have played in the AM numerous times and never had a problem with the pace of play.
We are sorry to hear that pace of play affected your round over the weekend. Due to beautiful golfing weather and Father's day weekend, we had a slower pace than is typical for the course. We are glad to hear the you have experienced quicker pace during morning tee times and appreciate all of your feedback as it helps us provide a fun and enjoyable experience for each guest. Clueless
If you want a good pace of play this is not the place to go. No rangers to keep pace. Spent over 3 hours just on the back nine. Had several groups just give up. Shared with the management and they stated that the pace was typical for a weekend - 5.5-6 hours is not typical.
We understand that part of a fun and enjoyable round revolves around the pace of play and are sorry to hear that pace impacted your round at Whisper Creek. We aim to communicate pace expectations with each guest, but due to volume this can sometimes be challenging to do so effectively. We are actively working on different strategies to improve pace of play at the course. We hope you will join us again for another round soon so we have an opportunity to provide you a fun and enjoyable golfing experience at Whisper Creek!
Excellent November Round
Course was still in excellent condition. The greens were smooth and had not been aerated. The round was a quick 4 hours as there were only a handful of golfers.
