Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

South Side Gem
First time playing here and I was extremely impressed. The entire course was in top notch condition. I will be playing here a lot more often and I look forward to it.
Greens poor condition
I like this course a lot but I played today and the greens were very beat up many many divots and chunks also rolled very slow which is not like this course. Hope the course conditions improve.
Score!
This course was much better than I thought it was going to be. The layout is fun, conditions are great and it’s challenging; but, you can score well if you hit it straight. The staff was great and the bar and grill had good selection and really good food.
Slow play during the day.
First time playing this course and I walked. I was told at the pro shop that the course was really busy, however as I approached the 4th tee, there was a line of 5 foursomes waiting to tee off. I waited about 35 minutes to tee off and played with the threesome in front of me. The rest of the round was really slow, 5:15 to finish, which was insane for a 6400 yard course.
Other than that, the course was a good value. It played well with a few more challenging holes. The greens were fast in the start (it had just rained so they had just enough water to hold their speed). By the end of the round they slowed down a bit.
The traps were hard though a bit wet. For the amount of rain we have had recently, the course drained well.
I'd play again but would wait to play later in the day on the weekend to avoid the countless people out there who my slow things down.
Dependable round of golf & great value.
Always enjoy playing here. Course is challenging & just long enough for my game.
They do a great job of maintaining it. And always seems to drain well after heavy rains compared to courses in the area. Staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. Thanks for all you do.
Good time
Played there with a group of buddies before our fantasy draft. Course was nice, pace was good and overall had a good time. Beer prices are expensive. I will return.
Great course in need of a ranger
The layout is nice, the Price is Right, and of course was in good condition. However, it's just not fun to play golf when you have to wait five or more minutes before every single shot.
