Coyote Run Golf Course
About
Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

Rained Out
We were only able to play 9 holes. They were in the rain and had to stop due to lightening for 45 minutes and when we went back out, rain came hard.
Always enjoyable.
My wife and I play this course several times a year and it is always enjoyable. Every time we've played it the conditions were always excellent. The course is not very difficult but it is always a good experience. The pace can sometimes be a little slow but we are pretty fast and anything close to 4 hours is slow for us..The greens are in good shape and the fairway roll is reasonable. The first few holes are pretty easy and can get you off to a good start. There are some challenging holes and particularly on a windy day can cost you. The view from the patio is right down the 18th hole and the bar is OK. We always have a drink afterwards.
Course was excellent, but golfers need to repair divets on the greens. I'll be back!
Easy course for better handicaps
This is a very short course. Par 4's are very short, a few under 300 yds, par 3's are short, two that I remember were under 125 yds. A couple par 5's were legit playing over 500 yds. The course was in good condition and it was a beautiful day but it will not challenge a golfer with a handicap of under 15. I am a 15 and I shot a 79 here.
Great Course in nice shape
Nice atmosphere and staff, well watered (except for driving range), Plenty of sand around the greens and fairways, hidden water near two greens, should have turned the card over sooner....Ill be back
Nice layout
Pace of play was terrible 4:50 min, they stack tee times every 8 min....... terrible! Course was in great shape and cool layout but pace of play probably will not make me go back......
Nice Course
Nice course near the house. Well maintained. Good price through Golf Now. Recommended.
so, so but could be great
This course could be great. fairways, tees, and rough all fine. The greens have potential, but seems that no one repairs their ball marks. Very hard to get a ball to run true with craters on every green.
Ok
Only problem was starter made us wait for other groups when we were clear in pro shop to go,was sending singles and twosomes out behind many foursomes which slowed it down a bit.starter was not really in good mood frustrating was that he made us wait for groups that were no where to be found, otherwise a good time..
Good course for the price
Played on a Saturday morning, very walkable course, good layout and great value for the price, particularly for weekend rate in the Chicago area. Pace got slow for a while, but the ranger was good about speeding it back up and keeping everyone posted. Round ended up being about 4:20, which could always be worse around Chicago at that time on a weekend. Only issue on condition was so many ball marks on the greens...had to fix several times for putts, or just as a courtesy for others on bad ones we came across. Overall though, will definitely be playing here again.
play this course
Was totally surprised with the course...Was in great shape... Greens were true and all had breaks to them..I dont remember a straight putt ...
Course condition excellent
Great layout, enjoyable for any level of player. Course very well maintained.
Enjoyable round of golf
Had not played the course in years and will play again. Play a lot in the winter but not as much here in the summer months.
6 ladies in 4 carts on one hole
This is a great course and one of the best values for the money. I consistently enjoy my experience here. On this one occasion, however, there was a group of 6 ladies riding 4 carts playing best ball together, who wouldn't let smaller groups play through. Playing as a single, I was waiting at the blue tee and watched each of them tee off, then they rode off even though they clearly saw me standing there. The green was open the whole time. I and another group ahead of me each skipped a holes. This was my only disappointing experience at Coyote Run. The ranger really needed to manage things better on this occasion.
Nice track
Top shape. Fast greens. I guess I understand how low handicappers think is very short but I love how theres strategy to play some holes
Very nice track
I guess you can consider this my home course as I play it most often. Overall this is a very nice place to play especially for the price. The course is always in very good shape and the greens are fast. A few years ago I felt they charged way too much money, but in the last year or two they have come down in price which is nice. The course has a nice mixture of easy and challenging holes. You need to score on the front because the back can be challenging with tight fairways, OB, and water. The par 3s are the most challenging part as 2 are over water and 2 others play about 200 yards.
