Coyote Run Golf Course
About
Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

excellent value
Course was in excellent shape. my wife and I were paired with a man who was not only very nice , but a "regular" and knew the course and the greens well. Very helpful. Course is not long , but greens, ( fast, with many subtle breaks) and well placed water and fescue made it a challenge, yet fair. Absolutely great value and I would highly recommend. We will be back , and soon !
Great course
Golf Now had a $20.00 rate. Fantastic!!! But I would pay 40 or 45 and still call it fantastic. Played under 4 hours on a Sunday? Fantastic.
Course was in great shape
This was the first time everyone in my foursome had played this course and it was in great shape. (All courses in this area are in great shape due to the consistent rain we've had all summer) The course plays fairly short (even from the tips) and is wide open. The 5 hour round on the Friday before Independence Day with a packed course was expected. All in all it was an enjoyable afternoon. Very nice pub / bar /19th hole with very good loaded nachos.
Course was wet
After heavy rain, this course was so wet. Still we can drive the cart in, (that god thing!) If it dry, this course would be nice at the price range.
Good Conditions and difficulty
The course was in excellent shape and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The course has some sand , water and natyral hazards . . . enough to kiss some balls goodbye. The pace of play for our foursome was fabulous and we finished in less than 4 hours. I would recommend the course. I always prefer electric carts, which were clean and smooth.
excellent value
Course was in terrific shape after major rainfall over the last couple of weeks. I got great deal for a foursome on Golfnow.com and the pro shop doubled the deal by giving us coupon to come back and play for $25 per person..
Lots of water and sand but pretty wide fairways.
Generous
Worth the hot deal price. Not sure I would pay the normal full price. Course was in pretty good shape. Some greens were a little bumpy...just fix your ball marks people. Bunkers were in great condition. Course is fairly open with large fairways. Some trouble to be found, but it typically has to be a bad shot to find the trouble. Enjoyed my round and will be back.
A fair test
For a full course this day, pace of play was 4hr 05min. Played as a twosome and while the back nine was a bit of stop and go, was pleased with the timing. Course is in good shape. Greens appeared to have been punched about a week ago and rolled well during the midday hours. Pins were tucked a bit against some banks meaning some course knowledge was needed. Keep the ball below the hole! Staff was very friendly throughout, from the pro shop to the starter to the beverage cart girl. Would play there again.
The course is nice.
This is a nice course but the staff at the register while checking in could be a little more courteous.
A bit overrated it seems
In my opinion the course was in nice shape. Greens are challenging but yet not too hard in regards to speed of the greens or in too much break. The hole layout though is quite a problem. Everything is so cramped and close together. Tee boxes are only steps sometimes from greens and just a 10 yards left or right mean the difference from being on the next or last hole instead of your own fairway/rough. I've never heard so many FORES on a course in my life. If some even do yell as I had one buzz my head four feet away with no warning in ear shot. Weather didn't help any as the temps were cooler and the wind was howling (12-17mph plus higher gusts) so bad that we watched it blow a flag stick out of the hole. The course doesn't really punish you even in the tree line you have a great line of sight and open windows to the greens. There is some water to clear/layup short of but nothing too difficult. I recommend everyone try it once and if you like it great if not that's great too. Paid $22 to golf but given the fall time frame could have played a better layout for the same or less money. Would return if it was cheaper but at $22+ I'd pass in the future unless it was my only option.
Great value course
Play coyote run 4-5 times a year. Always well kept and in good condition. Good value. Provides a challenge, but not an overly difficult course.
Nice track
Was in very good shape. Not very long but nice fairways and greens. Id go back
Pretty good value for the money
I went during the week and rode and they charged me about $30. Good value for the course. It is in pretty good condition. It is a tighter/shorter course, so that is a bit of a disadvantage in my mind. Also, the greens had a lot of ball marks on them from people not repairing their ball marks. But overall, the fairways and course was in good shape.
Open and challenging
Course has generous fairways, was in good condition, and the entire staff was very helpful and friendly.
Great place to play
Played here many times this year. The course is always in great shape. The staff are always friendly and are happy to make your golf experience a good one.
Good round at nice course!!!
Course is nice it is forgiving though. We played on Tuesday afternoon for $25 in about 4 hours. There is water on a few holes that can make a difference. We will be back again soon.
The course
Fantastic great shape wonderful experience will return
saturday in the park
played Saturday afternoon 3 to 7.we were a threesome my friend, his wife and myself. We play behind a foursome.the pace of play was fun,the course wasn't beautiful shape, the course and the clubhouse were rockin, the neighbors were celebrating and the clubhouse was hosting at the party!
Awesome course for the price
Very well maintained course and great staff.
Food and beverage at facility are excellent.
Boring course with rude staff
We were hassled by the ranger about speeding our play on the 2nd hole after we were waiting on the group in front of us, which we played through after the fourth hole. The fairways were in nice condition but the layout pretty boring. There was a large party blasting hip hop music from outside the club house and several carts with boom boxes. If you are serious golfer this place is not for you.
