Coyote Run Golf Course
About
Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

Very playable course.
Pace of play was not good. Normally this course plays faster, but I think due to the time of year, there were no rangers out to keep things moving.
Just the right mix of challenge but not too ridiculous for the average player.
It was a very nice day golfing out at Coyote Run, they're always very (staff), the course is always well maintained (it has a mix of challenging holes as well as not being too difficult so the average golfer is unable to enjoy themselves), and just an overall awesome day at a great place to be golfing.
Nice course, great staff
Each time I play Coyote Run, I like it more. The holes are laid out well and in good condition. Thanks grounds crew.
great layout
This course is short, but challenging. There's enough hazards strategically placed to make you think about your next shot. Well maintained course.
Any country club opened to the public
The city of Homewood has done a great job with the course. You can see this used to be a private country club at one time and they have kept the conditions prime. Putting on fast greens this late in the season is unheard of on a public course.
Fun Course
Had a gerat time. Fairways were in very good condition. Greens impecable.
Always fairly well maintained but a bit pricey.
Coyote is always in pretty decent shape with rangers around to help maintain a fairly steady pace of play. I'm local so I play it fairly frequently but if they lowered their greens fees I would play it regularly. Course played a little slower than normal today with a local high school practicing for a tournament. However the course officials made us aware of the situation and apologized in advance, which I appreciated.
Pleasantly Surprised
I didn't know much about this course before I played it with the exception of reading the reviews on various websites. I was very pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course for it's location. Fairways and greens were both very well maintained and smooth. Some challenging holes and a lot of fun to play. A couple of drivable par 4s make the risk/reward factor pretty high. This is definitely a course I would consider playing again. Pace of play was also very good for a Saturday late morning/early afternoon.
Rating Notes: If there was a selection between "Maintained" and "Pristine" for Course Conditions I would have chosen that. Also, if there was a selection between "Average" and "Great" for Value for the Money, I would have chosen that as well.
A great course
Greens putted true and the bunkers where in great shape!
prestine cousre
This course was in fantastic condition tee to green. Had a very good driving range and the staff was very friendly. Took my son there for his 18th birthday and we had a very enjoyable day
Fun layout, and good condition.
Challenging layout, very nice condition, good for a low score,--good $30 value.
Best greens I have played this year. Good value for price.
Fast but true greens, well maintained course overall.
Nice Staff !
I was impressed with Paul in the pro shop. even though we were way early for our tee time he did his best to get us out asap. He was a true gentleman and a credit to the organization.
Scoreable course with some green help needed
Very well maitained golf course. Greens were very bumpy. They had holes and were sanded. Unusual for June.
This course has fast, true greens.
The course was in great shape. The greens were the fastest that I have played in this young golf season
great course
course was in pristine condition for this time of year, greens were true and fast, loved it. will play again
Great course but can get pricey.
I've played this course about five times and it's in great shape. Water comes in to play on a number of holes and club selection is very important to stay out of trouble.
A Hidden Gem
Coyote Run never disappoints. It is always in great shape from tee to green. Its one of the best values for golf in the southern suburbs. Greens run true. Great layout and a wonderful place to play.
A strategy-shot course, but you can score.
This always in shape track is fun to play, because you have to think about shot placement just about every time you swing. The mix of the old and new "linksy" layout is a course designed to adjust your thinking from protective to aggresive. Don't be suprised if your driver stays in the bag for two or three holes in a row...
Way to pricey for this course!
They have no GPS on carts and the price is WAY too high for the course it should be a $40 course not $65 and still charging in the 40 in the winter crazy!
