Coyote Run Golf Course
About
Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

Great day to golf
Enjoyed the course tremendously. The pace of play was somewhat slow. But great place to golf.
Good; course little priceie
My overall experience with staff and the golf course was very good . I WILL return with friends.
Greens are one of the best in Chicago area
The greens are very fair. As much play it gets, divots tended well.
Love this course!
This was my first time playing at Coyote Run and I can't wait to go back! The course was beautifully maintained, the level of difficulty was challenging but not too intimidating for a beginner like myself, and the staff was very friendly. The rates are a little high for me, but Golfnow.com had great deals, so I will for sure be back. Definitely worth the money for the area!
The course is close to home and beatifully kept.
Very well maintained greens and fairways. Be sure to bring a few extra balls because I lost a few in the thick/high rough.
A must play
Fair landing areas with manicured greens . a pleasure to play
$49 - good value with golf now rate
Well maintained. Excellent greens. A little wide open but challenging enough.
Coyote - A good place to play
Coyote is always in good shape and is a links style course. You'll enjoy your round here. The course isn't the hardest because of the ability to mishit shots and catch an adjoining hole in most cases, but it is a fair test from the back tees. Course is always well manicured and the Northwoods restaurant is always a pleasant place to catch some food and drinks after the round. Pretty descent range with a 3 hole or so practice area that I haven't used but looks like a good place to hone your skills.
Nice track, friendly staff.
They pro shop went above and beyond to help with our 5 some situation. We had a major storm come through at the turn and the staff was right on top of it. Course was in very good shape except for players not fixing their ball marks. Not Coyote's fault!
Maybe hand out fixers to all players?
Overall a very good experience. Wiley's grill was awesome. I'll make the 40 minute drive again!
Good value
Good pace and friendly staff. Greens firm and rolled ok. Conditions were good sand traps in great shape. I would play again for sure!
excellent experience
Busy, but pace of play was excellent. Course in great conditin.
Great Par 71 Course
I liked this course. It wasn't too far from the city, and it was a reasonable price for a Saturday morning with cart at $62. The course is relatively short, but driver was in play on most par 4s. The greens were aerated a few weeks prior, but the greens ran pretty true. My playing partner kept on saying, that it was a good course and I agreed. I'm definitely going back when needing a less challenging but very nice course to play at.
Thre greens on this course are very fast.
Fastest greens on the south side of Cook County. The course is fair and fun to play. The rough was fairly long and punishing. Keep it in the fairway and you can score well.
Fantastic facility
One of the nicest courses in the south suburbs that i have played. The course was in fantastic shape and the greens were fast but very consistent. I highlyl recommend this course to anyone wanting a challengeing and nicely laid out course.
Weather Conditions
The got course was great. However due to the rain the night before the course did not allow golf carts for the day, walking only. However the deal I paid for thru Golf now was for green fees and a cart. Golf now, is there any consideration for the change in terms?
Slooooowwwwww
No ranger, took 6 hours for 18. Great track but too many amateurs that have no clue about pace of play.
Nice layout
Lot of water, I think, there was some on every hole. Some I didn't see, until it was too late. CHECK your scorecard!!! Course was in great shape.
Gem of a course
I've played many courses in this early part of the golf season and of all of the courses I've played, Coyote Run was in the best condition. The greens rolled hard, fast, and true. The course played long. Despite rain, the course was wet, but not soggy - they have a great drain system. David Ward deserves accolades for the condition of the course and they staff was very friendly. I will play again.
Great bang for your buck
Love playing this course. I would recommend this course to anyone. For $40 you can't beat Coyote Run.
greens
Might seem trivial but the practice green is way faster than the course
