Coyote Run Golf Course
About
Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

Sporty round of golf with several challenging holes
Really like to play this course as they do a nice job of maintaining the grounds. As luck would have it the last 2 times I've played the greens were freshly areated and dressed. No fun.
Okay, not great
Was about a 35 minute drive for me to reach this course. If I lived closer to the course, I'd probably play it again, but I doubt I'd drive that far again in the future, when I have better options a lot closer to me. Back 9 was decent, front 9 was a snoozer. Overall, everything was adequate and the green fee was fair, but it wasn't anything special.
This course has some nice features, enjoyable 18 holes !!!
The course is pretty nice with water on a decent amount of holes. I like the feel of the course, the fairways are in nice shape, they are currently working on a few of the sand traps, some traps are very large & some of regular size, glad to see they continue to keep the course in nice shape. Greens are in nice shape, as a whole I would say course is in very nice shape & I always enjoy my rounds played at Coyote Run !!!!!!!!!
Good course,good value
Your goofy slide bars still dont work on this system so you are not getting an accurate rating on these courses.
Excellent Muni
My friends and I like Coyote Run for its fair play and great greens.
Olympia Fields Greens Keeper turns this course into a gem
This course has my favorite conditioning in Chicagoland. The tee boxes are firm, the fairways run and the greens are hard (but not penal). The greens tend to run 11+ on the stimp, but they are incredibly true and receptive (relatively easy to spin the ball back on most greens). While the fairways are fairly wide and forgiving, the wind really makes the course. On days when the wind is blowing over 15mph, the course really shows its teeth. With the golfnow deals during the week, the course is incredibly affordable ($25), so its my go-to course. It's well worth the visit to this course...even if you want to warm up for Ravisloe or Olympia Fields!
