16th par 3 Photo submitted by lb1golf on 05/04/2014
Played this course many times over the years, very nice and usually always bring family or friends to this course and we all enjoy it. One of my favorites here at the Lake.
Rambo
I always enjoy playing this course. The course was quite wet due to recent rains; however, still in pretty good condition considering how early in the season. Cart path only made for some extra exercise.
We had a fun day with friends who played it for the first time.
Great Value
For mid March the course was in pretty good shape. It was very wet from rains, so it was cart-paths only, which is never fun, but worth it. Staff was great and restaurant is excellent.
Great Course
One of my favorite cpurses. Greens good condition every time. Nice overall landscape. Will definitely play again.
Spring break LoOzarks golf day
Picked Bear Creek Valley after checking weather for the week. Awesome day. No leaves on trees yet. Good to see the overall layout of course. Greens little slow but true. Will return.
Wow
Great interesting course. You better be driving the ball well or you will have a very long day.
Great course
Wonderful course. Had a great experience even in tough weather and time of yeAr.
fun well maintained course. Keep the ball in play and you can score. beautiful hills and slopes and excellent greens. If you are visiting the lake include this on your planner. A top 5 at the Lake.
Great value on golf now.
Really enjoyed the day. Was paired up with a couple but since it was not crowded, I was allowed to go out as an individual. Started at 11:30 and was finished at 2:30.
enjoyable golf course
Have played this course twice last year and once this fall and have enjoyed it each time. The Tee boxes were in pretty good condition, the fairways pretty good and greens pretty good - a few bare spots in each here and there. not pristine but in pretty good shape. you could play the ball down and not be in bad shape. The holes are fun with lots of elevation changes, trees and a little water.
the driving range was closed and is irons only. the practice green was in good shape and fairly well representative of the greens on the course. Hole 16 with a huge drop off for a par three was fun to play.. Don't even think about walking this course-the elevation change is drastic, and the distance from green to next tee is frequently crazy long.
would be happy to play here again when back in the area.
Tight course, many trees, target golf
Even though the area had an inch and a half of rain the night before, the course was in very good condition. However, we were cart path only. Very difficult course to walk. A lot of hilly terrain. The greens were in very good conditions with moderate speed. Great value for the money.
Great course
Love the place, always fast green's very nice staff. Always meet new people to play with.
Pace of Play
I understand that anyone who can hold a golf club plays on the weekends at resort area golf courses. I wish courses would tell all golfers to keep pace with the group ahead of them . At least have Marshals helping out in keeping foursomes moving with the group ahead of them. We were a twosome and started over 30 min after the foursome went off ahead of us. We caught them on the third hole and that foursome was already a hole behind of the foursome ahead of them. We stood and waited all day and never saw a Marshall or anyone to help out the situation. So, what could have been a great day if golf wound up being frustrated and sloppy play because of no consistent tempo of play. The views were great and believe me we had a lot of time to take it all in. Ha
Nice course at a fair price
Nice course, in good shape. Always well maintained. The course is challenging, but not terribly difficult. The bunkers are in better shape than most courses in the area.
The restaurant associated with the course has great food at a reasonable price.
Lots of trees. Keep your ball on the fairway. Very hot the day we played. Greens rolled true. Fairly easy to read breaks. Good value for Lake of the Ozarks area.
Best at the Lake
This course, by far, is the best value at Lake of the Ozarks. This is, indeed, a hidden gem. Great layout with awesome views. Has a little of everything - streams, ponds, hills, undulating greens - everything to challenge a low handicapper and forgiving enough for beginners.
Love this place!
We've played 4 times in the past week and a half. We're both high handicappers playing the forward tees. We love the hills and course layout. We've completed all the rounds in well under 4 hours. Friendly staff. Great restaurant. Laid back, totally unpretentious and great value.
All aspects of the course were solid, except the greens. They were poorly kept, in dead spots and many divots need fixing. Divot repair spots were not growing back to good green.
